Simple question I can't find an answer to.

Are videos of Eve Online gameplay in any form and videos which contain any of the Eve soundtracks downloaded from here eligible for the youtube partner program?

I can't seem to find a definite answer on this.

(Please, just for the sake of simplicity, don't give an answer unless you are 100% sure it is completely true).

I think the answer is NO, they can't be eligible.
This clearly described in Youtube rules:

Quote:

Your video is not eligible if it contains content that you didn't create or get permission from its creator to use. You need to be able to show written permission for the following video elements:

Audio: recorded music, live performances, cover songs, background music, etc.
Visuals: images, logos, software, video game footage, etc.
Any other content to which you don't own worldwide commercial usage rights.

Since you are not Jón Hallur Haraldsson or you dont have permission from CCP, you cant monetize your videos Blink

ps: I also feel your pain dude, Youtube monetization proposal is annoying, but rules are rules.

I have done some further research into this.

Unless I somehow managed to contact them and say "Hey guys, I wanna use your stuff." it isn't gonna happen that way - not with the intended track.

However, some are released under the Creative Commons license. Those I can use and so can anyone else.

Intigo, as much as I appreciate your defense of my request, I am more than capable of seeing that for myself. Thank you for your input Sarmatiko.
