They should remove PLEX and just stick with AUR.

GTC gets converted to Aurum, that Aurum then can be used to purchase
anything you want at the NeX including game time blocks of various sizes.
1 week, 1 month, 3 months, etc etc.

Allow players to make Aurum tokens with any excess they have so they can
trade it on the market as they already do.

Aurum tokens are the new PLEX.

Agreed take out the middle man and allow Aurum to be used as an option to buy market items. An example would be to buy a raven for 200mill or 20 Aurum.

No, it's ********. Having a double market is bad.
Free floating exchange on ISK:AURUM would work better.

The reality is that as soon as "I CAN GAIN REAL MONEY FROM IT" becomes real and easy, large-scale organized operations can be conducted. That includes botting.
PLEX price would get skyhigh, to 2b and over, which would sink PLEX consumption and hardly waver PLEX creation.
Meanwhile, the differential in those two gets sold back to CCP.
That's BEFORE the problems it would create with the histeric playerbase.

So no, not going to happen.

Many legal issues with officially doing RMT. One of which is money laundering.

Thats why you use a 3rd party to moniter and mantain security and prevent things like this from happening. CCP lets them handle the legal responsibility for a nominal fee which would be attached to your account if you accepted the terms and conditions set forth by CCP and the 3rd party.

I too would love to cash out thousands of USD worth of assets but im affraid if you let loose that flood gate it would destroy the economy. There is a lot of players that make way more isk than we know what to do with, thats why we do stupid **** like officer fit paladins worth 30 billion or sit on lowsec gates smartbombing people in our erebus.

I think a RMT system would have to be crafted very carefully. I would also think you would see a lot more botting and in general isk farming which would cause a lot of inflation. Im sure it would balance out, the question is only where.

My 2 cents.

I would support any system that works so that I can cash in the many hours spent playing Eve into real money, as it is currently players poor money or time into the game (whatever they have more of) and all we get back is pixels that remain in the game.

I would play Eve a hell of a lot more if i could make real money out of it.

RMT will encourage more botting no doubt, but this will also make the botting more obvious and therefore more botting accounts will be banned in the process.

I personally dont see what all the fuss is about RMT from a players point of view, making money from something you enjoy doing sounds good to me. The current system already allows players with money to buy any item they want in the game via plex, you can even buy a high SP character so you dont have to spend months or years training up, so this argument is null.

Some thought will need to go into how the market works and how this will work with RMT so that the current economy continues to function properly.

The main reason we havent seen RMT (for players) is becasue CCP wants all the real money for themselves. Share a little CCP Blink

RMT could work with the right system in place.

Blizzard suck and wrote pact with devil, because they greedy company, they got expirence witht WOW, they realize they cant win vs RMT in large mass scale because is hard to control milions of own players, so they decide to allow-support RMT and they got some profit form this.
