Yes, this is what CCP wants. Took me a while to figure that out. But today the third of my four accounts winds down. One to go and I am out of this corner of the universe. Every time I miss the game I come back and read the forums for a little while. Then I'm glad I'm out of here.

Obligatory 'Can i have your stuff?' here

And since you asked, yes this is what CCP wants, an event organised by players, run by players and involving a wide slice of the playerbase, from null sec fighters to pirates to miners and industrialists. Its pure sandbox at its best, which is what CCP has always wanted.

Well, I have been around far long enough to know that the majority of the reponses would add negative content to these forums, which seems to be the norm.

I don't have a problem surviving in EVE. I KNOW how this stuff works.

I have simply observed that large and getting larger regions of EVE are depopulating and the markets have actually spun out of control with runaway inflation.

Where do you think the hundreds if not thousands of NEW ALTS that make up the suicide ganker FLEETS that are now the scourge of hisec came from? Noobs, HAH, and yes, that is spittle I just laughed in your face.

I understand that thinking is hard and may actually cause many of you pain but I'd like you to consider this:

There is a single alliance that on its own has probably somewhere between 100 and 1000 times the economic power of ALL OTHER PLAYERS and player groups combined.

Over the past several years this alliance has suggested this nerf and that nerf and CCP complies.

Eve is broken.

More to the point, EVE IS DEAD.

Does CCP want players to sculpt the game as they see fit?

Yes, yes they do.

If EVE is a sandbox, then the Goons are just knocking down the crappy sandcastles and building their own.

EVE is a cold, harsh universe. Nowhere is "safe", only "safer". Trust no-one, be smart and above all else, don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out. This is how the game is meant to be played, and if you don't like it, then fight back or leave. Whining solves nothing.

Greetings capsuleer,

This seems like the perfect time to move to a lower security system then. Forget your baby-blanket of CONCORD and learn how to fly safely yourself. It is a tough lesson of times, I'm still learning it. But you have a unique opportunity in front of you now.

Besides. I hear tell there are cookies made of pure ISK in low security systems.

? I live in lowsec and work with a decent size alliance in Null. Many of you should know that means there are hisec alts as well.

Do some of you think that personal attacks against me are useful?

Since those that have nothing to say other than direct personal attacks directed at me I can understand how they woudl fail to understand what has happened to this game and why.

Considering all of the press from fanfest to burn jita, I'd imagine that CCP is doing fine in subscriber growth. In other words, no one cares, EVEs a sandbox, obligatory HTFU etc etc

There are no 'noobs' in hulks. How many months of train is it to get into one?

More than a month I think. If they have T2 strips on it might have been another month about (highsec ones don't have to train for ABC ore crystals - maybe not even the lowsec ores either.

Less then 40 day's to sit in a hulk with strip miner 1's.

Yes, you can do this. Does that make it a good idea?

Among high-sec miners, good ideas are truly the scarcest resource.

I would not have truly thought that what is happening would be possible but I suppose it is.

As a long term indy that used to run on the edges of Gallente and Minmatar empire I have noticed a HUGE depopulation of these regions.

Never before has any Hulkageddon had this affect, but this is not a normal hulkageddon.

What is currently going on is an all out war against noobs and the casual player that pays real money to idly mine and convo in empire.

Running any kind of indy ship between noob hubs, market hubs or along ANY trade route is an actual gauntlent that slaughters the noobs and the casual player that hasn't had the benefits of being trained in how to survive in LOWSEC, cause after all, he is in the "safety" of hisec.

I have now witnessed for nearly a week a hisec incursion that can barely and even rarely is able to put up an incursion fleet, so WTF is that about? Some kind of incursion killing nerf happen or what? Depopulation effects?

Hisec is now truly the most dangerous part of Eve space to be in.

Whoever it is the decided this was a good thing can only be a goon stooge.

Something really bad is happening to this game and I'll wager unsubs will tell the tale in the end.

So you are saying CCP must step in and stop players from doing what they want? The day that happens its goodbye Eve Online, its the only thing that makes this game stand out. And I lolled that Hisec is teh most dangerous place, when I want to chip around the house and do other stuff while being mostly afk, what do I do? I log in my hisec alts and do stuff tehre, including mining still even though hulkaggedon is on and guess what? I havnt had any ships ganked yet, in fact I have never had a ship ganked in hisec.
And 4 of my 7 playable pilots are in hisec. So yes I do know what Im doing in hisec too.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.
