...wouldn't that also mean suicide gankers should be free to suicide gank?

... Build a sand box for your town.

Charge people to play in it.

When they turn up to play, Kick sand in people face in the sand box.

It's really not a good analogy (sand box)

But the town wouldn't be kicking sand in the face of people. The people would be kicking sand in each others face's. Why should the town be involved in a personal dispute between two people?

Congratulations. You perfectly explained CCP's stance on the sandbox.

weeeeelllllll, not necessarily, the sec goes down in increments of 0.1 for a reason and was copied from Elite so has a heritage as well. Its a sliding scale of safety 1.0 is gated community type safe and 0.6 is the edges of the dodgy area of town where tourists are warned not to go. So, going by this in a way your are right, it's should be more a case of as the sec gets higher then it should get harder and harder. This is where things need to change I think.

I can't remember, but wasn't this the case once?.

P.S. this is only an opinion - nothing more.

Sure, make a change in the game play to....even the odds.

If you gank said hulk, said hulk pilot can gank you in hi-sec without fear of concord or yourself.

Pirates with kill rights on them, shouldnt be allowed to fight back!

Called fair play, oh what? thats not fair to the gankers? awww ganker tears would be bitter, but sweet somehow.

I think you'll find there are some miners out there who are aware of the risk and willing to take it and haven't felt the effects of ganking due to their diligence and precautions.

It's the ones who aren't and don't that become the victims. Pointless remark. Back in your box Mabel.

No, actually it was easier to gankj back in the day since concord was weaker and stupider.

At one point you could actually tank concord and just 0wn everything that came around.

AT the risk of repeating myself:

Let's see. The griefers/gankers (whatever) win. All miners turn in their barges for PvP-fitted vessels. Lacking minerals all manufacturers invest in PvP ships as well. Griefer/Ganker (Whatever) Heaven ensues. Ships are lost, replaced, lost, replaced until one day....

...you go to the shop and the cupboard is bare. There are no more ships.

Yeah, it seems the "EVE is for PVP" crowd's logic is supreme. It was there in front of us all along! The goal in EVE is Pods at Five Meters. We bump each other for a few hours and log out satiated and satisfied.

How stupid could we be for missing such an obvious truth? Thanks griefers, gankers, (whatever).
Our eyes are now opened.

And to think I've spent all this time training. (I've got Pods to V!)

Oh no no no. Mission runners TOO have learned the error of their ways. Missions RUIN the game. All mission runners (with great shame) sell their mission mods and invest only in PvP mods...out they march to fulfill the true EVE model!

What is the point of this thread?

Miners can already mine in Hi sec.
Suicide gankers can attempt to gank anyone they want in hi sec.

I am sure there would still be a few folks at that point willing to take on the pod with an ibis. Thats the real reason we have newbie ships with graphics upgrades, CCP saw this all coming down the pipe.

Greetings capsuleer,

You forget ISK. Once there is a shortage in minerals, somebody smart will make up the shortfall and reap the benefits. Your vision of a world filled with predators alone cannot and will not happen.

Mission runners give better prizes when you kill them. There are an endless supply of highsec Corps that will let you join so you dont even have to lose your ship when you kill their 2b ISK golem c: Just do it once a month and sell the modules.
