Need a new L4 mission ship for upcoming drake rebalence.

I can fly a Myrmidon with an equal shield tank to my drake atm, but it has limited range.

Drake, that is all.

Their not rebalancing it anytime soon, don't panic. When they do start they will work their way slowly from Frig on up, forgot where I saw it but it was posted by a dev the rebalancing ships will go over several expansions.

This. Also, heavy missile skills, Cal cruiser 5.... I really, really hate myself for saying this, but it's time to start training towards a Tengu.

A Myrm won't cut level 4s unless you have a lot of time to kill. And yes, if you already skilled up for heavy missiles then a Tengu would be next.

Currently I'm on a plan for 36 days to get rapid launch 5, t2 cruises, Caldari Battleship to 4, and Warhead upgrades to 3 or 4

After that I plan on another 30 days for t2 sentries, then getting more navigation because Intel and Perception are my 2 highest attributes.

Dont waste the time on T2 cruise missiles. Instead buy Caldari Navy Launchers or Dread Gurista Launchers.

Those can run upward of 50 mill each. Plus Maxing out cruises will make my raven a good long range POS bash ship.

That's a question of isk vs. time. I would always recommend CN Cruise Launchers because of the crazy RoF, but the cost (50M+ each) would price a lot of mission runners out.

Also t2 cruises give me a long range pos bash ship thats relatively cheap. I can use t2 torps not long after that.

50mil isn't much when you're doing lvl4s. my very first drake had a full rack of faction HMLs long before i even started my first lvl4.

i would still advise tengu because it's sex

Sigh. If you really want your POS-bash Raven, go for it. But don't expect your Raven and variants to consistently compete with a Tengu in L4s.

I have torp spec 4. It's great for stealth bombers (when you can manage to cram on T2 launchers). I also have cruise spec 4. It's a ******* waste of time. Everything I can do in a Raven can be done better in other, better ships. But if you really want one, hell, go for it.

Tengu, as others have pointed out for the obvious reasons. Fitting a Tengu will cost less than fitting a CNR to run missions even close to equivalent.

Also, can often times not be as juicy of a target for pirates.

Wait, you are shield tanking a myrm? It's not like you can't, but you're missing out on its bonus.

If you are mentioning it because you want a drone boat, I guess a Domi or an Ishtar (I think they can do L4s, don't have the skills for one yet) would probably be the next step. But that would kinda be doing a 180 from where you are now.

Rattlesnake is a good AFK ship for doing Lev 4's in but so much better doing them in a Tengu.
