Next forum update should include ability to block an entire corp and/or alliance.

Make it happen already CCP! Most of the people I can't stand to read posts from are mostly in the same two alliances. X

Would be nice to not be forced to manually block 16,000+ people.

I think the goons post quite well these days. Much better than they used too anyway. Test I'm not so sure; they still seem to have a mix of moderately good and moderately bad posters. Mostly not too bad.

Maybe you mean another Alliance?

Actually, the posters I can't stand reading are mostly not displaying alliance or Corp names or have relatively unknown Corp/Alliance names as far as I am concerned.

Seriously.. find a way to cope with it.. Don't wanna read their posts, then don't.

I don't even block individuals.. I see their name, I stop reading.. it's not hard.. It even works in real life, I hear someones voice, I stop listening.. I don't need someone covering them in a sound proof box so I can go on..

I would like to block every npc corporation but I doubt that will be possible.

Learn to recognize trolling.

Simply blocking out the posts of entire corps is like burying your head in the sand. Doesn't change anything, has no real effect or purpose, and only handicaps yourself.

Even when **** posting goons and test provide better posts then all of the NPC corp alts combined. Blocking all NPC corp alts would be a good way to clear up this forum. Get down to the good posts.

Not once in my OP did I specify goons or test. I am just wanting more functionality in this forum to mold it to my liking.

Although with so many assuming goons and test would be the first to be blocked says a lot about how they contribute via posting on this forum.

More functions = better. Good idea.

And it's funny how people immediately assumed it's all about TEST and Goons - like whole EVE consists of null-sec alliances instead of 80% of wh dwellers and whiny hi-sec carebears.

The fact you would block anyone on the forums is sort of... questionable. I mean, forums are for group talking. Conversations could quickly become confusing. The fact you want to block an entire corporations and alliances? That's ridiculous. Even worse, and frankly unfair to good posters that have a few trolls in their alliance, maybe not even in their corporation, but just their alliance that they can't do anything about.

I don't see any reason for this.

The Caldari put business before pleasure. The Gallente put business in pleasure.

Considering many view the forums as much as a part of the game as actually logging in, it is not ridiculous at all. Everything from standings resets to Hulkaggedon are blasted on the forums. "Read the forums." is often uttered in every aspect of this game. So by you saying the forums are separate from the actual game is asinine.

For one, they are quite separate for most. Secondly, I never said anything about it not being a part of the game.
I merely said that blocking people will only cause problems, especially if innocent posters are caught in the crossfire.

Go ahead, show me where, before this post, I said that the forums were separate from the game. Go ahead. I'm waiting.
