I read one yesterday and wanted to ask a slightly different variation of that poster's question but didn't want to hijack their thread.

Here it is:

I have a toon with a 5.8 unmodified standing with Caldari State, and I want to place a POS ion 0.5. Can I create a corp, and his standings will transfer over to that new corp without being "quartered" like I read in the Evelopedia?

Don't know what you mean by "quartered", but yes, seven (7) days after creating the corp your personal standings will transfer to the new corp, allowing you to plant a tower in Caldari .5 (assuming you have unmodified standing of 5 or higher to Caldari State). Also assuming you are the only one in that corp at the time.
