Haven't seen anyone mention this yet but there's a new planetary orbital building / what ever and a new "dust view" in planetary interaction.
Seems that dust orbital stuff also has some sort of upgrade scheme to them and require planetary resources for upgrading (wetware mainframes and such).

Hopefully there will be a blog soon about this stuff. Big smile

It's a gantry for building customs offices. Why you would want to build one though is another question as you already get one for free on every planet. Feels like that part is going to change in that case. Maybe you have to have your own customs office to be able to invade hostile worlds? Maybe customs offices will be destructible to prevent enemy reinforcements?

There is also a nice graphical representation of the customs office now that I don't think was there before.

Considering they have to make those planets mean something it probably means that when dust hits you no longer get that orbital custom office for free and since DUST is meant have ties on how sov is handled it might be that TCU / I-hubs will be moved to planets instead of being on orbit.

Just rechecked now that SiSi is back online and that orbital scaffold thing is supposedly used to build planetary customs office for the planet.
This mechanic seems to be limited for null sec only as other custom offices (low/high) are built by Concorde (and are still in their orbits + you can see the planetary module speeding past in planetary view) so if an orbital platform is owned by an alliance that could mean we (as corporation) can finally share the planet resources from PI.
I mean share as we do with current corporation hangars that would be sweet.

when you build a new spaceport in 0,0 no custom offices appear...
but you can attack existing custom offices now in low sectors and become a global criminal :)
In high... Concorde?
So when they are destroyable you need a new custom office and this new gantry item.

High it looks like you don't actually engage. I tried with an onirious using drones, and I would get warnings but trying to get the drones to engage never worked.

Mechanics aren't fully there yet but I would guess that you need to get dusties to kill something first on the planet before it's vulnerable I'd reckon.
CCP has already stated that there will be different security ratings in DUST that correspond to those in EVE and in the beginning only temperate and arid will be combat zones but I'm not sure that works when people just move their production to other types of planets.
