Just to make one thing clear. John doesn't mind who we talk to or visit with during social gatherings. He may not always take part in them, but he doesn't mind if we do. There's no reason we can't be civil and talk to people that we would otherwise shoot in space.

Exactly Simca. Its important to keep your bridges intact and your comms channels open, even with the folks you shoot at on a daily basis. You never know when something large is going to show up at someone's doorstep.


As to the party: expect to see Tarunik there, hopefully better tailored than last time, even.

You take a standard no one can live up too. Even I have worked with PIE inc pilots on occasion, (in a particularly hilarious ferox loss to ava starfire if memory serves) do you want to put your own pilots on the list?

Come now Rodj, there is no reason to be like this, I will make it up to you, come have a dinner with me at the Fan Club HQ in stain, I am sure we would have a wonderful time together if you could get past your prejudices. The good folks at the True Creations station can be quite good hosts.

"When the people who love to blood people and turn your faith into a wretched abomination throw a 'party', don't attend" is impossible standards? I knew that parties have an incredible attraction to capsuleers, but I wasn't aware that it was that bad...

We're providing a much needed social service to capsuleers at a time when such events are few and far between.

Mr. Sadik seems to think we'll be hanging corpses from the ceiling and killing civilians in front of the assembled.

Our event will be much more... wine, dancing, and good company.....we'll leave the hyperbolic mischaracterizations at the door.

You are mistaking Commander Sadik's point. He did not at all make any assumptions on what entertainment or lack their-of your party includes.

He merely pointed out that describing the request for people not to attend particular social event as "impossible standards" gives a funny picture about how essential a particular social event can be.

I would go further and say that especially if the event is about nothing but "wine, dancing and good company", posing it as that sort of essential is hilarious.

If you go back and look, it was about association rather than one specific party. Old man Rodj seemed to think that anyone associating with those whose loyalties he finds suspect makes that person list worthy. I found an impossible standard to not politely associate with those of opposing views when not in combat. I just think he is trying to be the fun police, I bet he even turns exotic dancers back into the Theology Council.

There is a difference between interacting with your enemy when one really has to (diplomacy, prisoner exchange, etc), and outright partying with them. I think most who call themselves 'loyalists' of any faction or ideology should agree. If you have no problem dancing and singing with the slaughterers of your people, are they even your enemy at all?

As part of the evening's scheduled entertainment, we will be showcasing some.... physical combat. Our guests will of course be safe at all times, and at no risk.

However capsuleers with staff, bodyguards, or associates they feel would be uniquely suited for this arena please speak with me regarding your interest.

Please consider however those that participate are at severe risk of death and dismemberment, based on individual prowess, of course. Capsuleers trained in the martial arts are welcome to participate of course, but at their own risk of losing a clone and all the lovely memories of the evening to that point.

Workmen with various construction equipment can be seen walking about and on ladders, with welding sparks falling to the floor in various places.
