Consider setting up a separate server, just like Singularity but without markets and without ISK.

I honestly don't need that level of complexity in a video game, I just want to fly ships and pvp against other players, tournament style like unreal, wolfenstein etc, I hate grinding missions , trading, salvaging and all the other useless activities just so I can pvp.

I could care less about ISK, and all the other useless game mechanics for eve online like titans, POS, mining, salvaging, carriers etc etc.

Make a casual version of eve online with a gladiatorial feel, nothing but combat 24/7
Make a payable subscription based "LITE" edition of eve online for the casual gamer. Remove the bloat, trim the fat and make eve fun!

On this server there is NO isk, you can fly any ship you want, fit any module you wish. No titans, no carriers no bullcrap just t1, t2 and faction ships. People could try combinations, play with fittings, sandbox style, and not be bogged down by ISK management, which honestly I have no time for anyway.

I would HAPPILY buy plex and play on a server just like singularity as a casual gamer. When my subscription ends or I quit all my ships and ammo and loot etc are returned. On this server there is no ownership of goods only a ranking system for top gun like players.

Make a PURE pvp server, just tournament style fights with stats and a ranking system. Corps would still exist but activities like mining, salvaging, exploration etc etc etc would not be on this server.

The subscription and skill system would work the same way as TQ, except skill books would be free, well paid for with a subscription fee.

Every day in every way I improve my skills and get better.

Test server. Everything on the test server costs 100 isk, and I mean EVERYTHING. Hell, i think now that faction/ded space mods are on the market instead of through contracts, then they too will probably show up on the test server at 100 isk.

There's even someone on there to transfer you to a null sec system or whatever system there is combat directed towards.

The only disadvantage is that it copies everything about you from the live server. So, whenever they mirrored the live server is where you're sitting when you come in. May have skills missing, or may have a ship that got blown up 2 weeks ago, but it's a great place to go practice.

I however, would like a casual pve server where I can go and persist without the interuption of other players. i enjoy the content of the game, but not so much the pvp aspect. If I could have Eve without wardecs and without non-consensual combat, I would be a very happy camper and wouldn't have to switch games every so often to keep myself entertained.

Well I like the MMO competitive aspect but not the market drain, it's bad enough that people constantly try to scam and gank players but now with inflation I feel like I'm not playing a game anymore but just trying to make ISK to buy a lame ass ship that is overpriced to begin with..... it stops being a game for me and turns into a job.

also in case you didn't know the test server is called "Singularity" I mentioned it in my post earlier

I hear ya.

That's why I want a server where the only combat involved is consentual combat. Wardecs would have to be mutual in order for them to exist.

There are plenty of items available on the market at npc prices, but the prices they set are easily beatable by a player.

high, low, and null would not be determined how they are now, but rather just present less ship restrictions for the consensual wars.

They would also be an indicator for the difficulty/reward of pve content available in that area.

There would be no such thing as SOV, but rather a player/player corp could upgrade a system for themselves, and no one else would be able to upgrade that system.

However, for a bit of fun factor there would be a few systems available for free pvp where it's kinda a free for all area. Each system would present its own ship restrictions, and would have a station available for buying items. Undocks and jumping into this system would have random drop out points to negate camping.

However, this is just all my opinion on what I would enjoy Eve to be and I'll never expect something like this to happen.

The biggest selling point of eve over other MMOs on a concept level is that it is not a SHARD system. Everyone is in one universe.

Shards are dumb.

What is the point? EVE Online is great because of it's complexity and economy. It's like a sandbox mode!
Yes. That was a joke.
But seriously, it's a horrible idea. Casual gamers do not belong in EVE Online PvP.

exactly, that's why I would like an eve for casual gamers on the pve side of things with purely optional pvp...Again though, just wishes.

In his defense neither is the game the OP describes :) Part of what makes eve pvp so thrilling is the risk of loss. Your ship gets blown up you don't just respawn at the spawn point with a new ship. Your damn ship got blown up and you gotta go buy a new one. It makes your fights matter and your victories sweeter.

Oh, i'm not against the risks of pvp in Eve. I would just like a version where the pvp was consentual...Then I could decide when I was willing to risk losing a ship, and thus be able to have the backings in isk when I do lose a ship...but again, just wishful thinking, will probably not happen.

Not really, because I'd like to enjoy the pve content available in low/null/wh space without the drama of low/null/wh space.

different from the usual whine but.......no

Isk is tied to pvp. 2 sides shoot each other till the isk runs out. Economic warfare. This how goons was slowly grinding down BOB way back (they eventually opted for another way out, have to admit it was an interesting solution). Its also is how you get more clear low sec systems as pirates on bad strings of luck pop ships of no true value and have to make isk to get up to speed again.

In addition this be a real boring server. It be only t1 ships with t1 equipment. T2 exists becasue of carebearism. Moon goo is pve. T3 is pve. No gas, no sleeper droppings, no t3 cruisers. No named gear, no deadspace gear, no empire faction fittings. All 3 are pve only items. LP or rat drops. CCP will not see these items. its what keeps people on tranq.

Also this is not the heaven you think it is. Play WOT a few weeks. Reach tier 7 or higher. Since death is cheap until tier 9 in that game you get a high population of people who jsut don't give a ****. There is you in your t9. It bleeds money if your match goes bad. You care about that. some tards on your team don't since they can spam a few hits, and they make the credits to cover the loss. Or they half ass it , hope enough care to win the match so they can sponge xp from a hopefully won match. They play stupid, diaf like lemmings and at some point you jsut know this match is just a waste of time.

Eve pvp...you .see the guy in his t3, tier 3 BS, or hac. He knows the loss is going to sting. You know he knows this. So he at the minumum pretends to care about how he performs. Trust me, eve is the better way. Nothing like seeing a 5 kill match in my teir 9 which should be a very nice payout turn to utter crap in a loss because enough people on my team went full tard because they jsut don't care.

Oh, well, in that case, Get Out.

If you want to play in WH/low/0.0, you have to deal with the players too. That's kind of the point. This is an MMO after all.

Follow your logic to the very end. If you got what you just asked for - a safe game to play sim-base, you wouldn't want this anymore. This is what you're asking for - http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/stat_builder

This game is a challenge, to get to the top you need to challenge yourself in ways you never have before - instead of asking how to make all these bad things go away, ask yourself how you can thrive in this environment. Challenge yourself - get curious.. the rewards and emotions that come from victory and failure will be worth 1000x more than what your imagined safe game would give you.

Take a f'ing chance, what do you wanna live forever? Or just play on SiSi. Holy crap man

ONLY THE HARD.  ONLY THE STRONG.

While I agree more could probably be done to facilitate small scale pvp, removing the ISK risk and/or creating a second server is basically the complete anti-thesis to EVE. -.-
