Remember ship docking in 'Elite'. where you had to rotate the ship to match the docking bay?

I remember activating the autopilot, relaxing to the soothing AP music, while the AP maneuvered closer to the docking bay and then accelerating like mad at the last moment and crashing in to the space station killing me. （╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻

That must be one hell of an adrenalin rush, god only knows what the people in the buses and cable cars think when they see these guys !

Some days docking my carriers feels that tedious.

On side not how does one go about starting the cliff diving thing? Seems like its a steeper learning curve than eve.
