Complain about the NEX prices, complain about the slow implementation. But it is just a bit to hypocritical to bear complainging about walking in station.

The first question I asked when I started playing this game half a decade ago was how the **** do I get out of my ship. And now we actually can. I'm pretty happy about it.

Oh, I'm sure WiS will be nice once it's released.

I wonder if i'll still be playing EVE once the walking in stations, bars, meeting rooms, interactions, dancers stuff finally gets released - and working properly. At this speed I guess ETA is somewhere mid 2015. And then I'm being optimistic.

CCP stopped developing EvE two years ago in favour of other projects. What 'could have been', might have been close to the hype had they spent all that money on EvE.

Perhaps they were right to do that, realizing ahead of everyone else, that the 'grand' vision for EvE was just too ahead of its time and too much of a juggernaut to go the distance. I don't presume to judge tbh.

What may be, may be. But it won't be anytime soon. And EvE is getting a bit long in the tooth; whilst still awesome, I don't think it will ever be the 'science fiction simulator' we all dreamed it might be and in fairness, that was hopelessly naive anyway.

At best EvE will just 'go on' being a good MMO in a niche market, with no rivals. And thats fine with me.

I like the idea of WiS, and was looking forward to it, but not at the expense of everything else and not always-on. I shouldn't have to have the station environemnt running on two clients just to swap cargo between alts. But this is being fixed, so I'm satisfied with the compromise.

If I had known they would take WALKING in stations so literally I would have been requesting RUNNING in stations instead

I think your train missed the junction where original incarna which people asked got binned and was replaced with what we have now.

...so about being hypocritical - yep... move on - I'm happy if you enjoy it.

In 5 years, when your training plan completes. You'd be pissing and moaning that we have outdated character models and that EVE is old and dying. If anything, this shows CCP has very long term intentions for EVE

Seems like the big flaw was that people asked for walking in stations. Well, whoopdie doo, we can walk in stations. Shoulda asked for something to do once you were walking.

edit: I demand a Segway! Rolling in stations!

double edit: I demand a treadmill! There's too much station and not enough walking!

How will establishments work if not with others walking around in them too?

Why do people think this is it?

You know its hard to take a 1 day old alt seriously, when you state you've been waiting years.

Either way the idea of WiS isn't whats got a lot of people up in arms against it. Its the YEARS of development only to have such a **** poor release, poorly optimized, not even close to being finished, has no functionality, and has been taking development away from the core of the game(FiS). Added to the fact that they seemed to have backtracked from the FF08-FF09 version they showed.

I agree with all of this I was upset over the implementation as well. Whatever kind of muddily group-thinking, slosh-brained company came out with that has some issues, for sure. But what happened on our part was at the very least an overreaction, which could have.. indeed been fixed by a bit of missing communication. But we are where we are, and it actually looks really nice.

Never asked for it, never wanted it. Always was against it. Still am. It is lame and adds nothing to the game. No depth, no complexity, no gameplay, no fun. Nothing.

Old adage of EVE... if you're zoomed in close enough to see the graphics, you're doing it wrong.

I play EVE because of the game. All this focus on graphics the past couple years annoys me... you know PI is so ****** because all the dev time was spent on the graphics instead of the game? Many a game has failed for such dev decisions.

Are you in faction warfare? Can't be bothered to check... I assume no, you get the point.

I imagine that expansion was just as much of a waste for you as well? How is your reaction different and why? Do you know?
