Mining - why is the red headed stepchild of EVE and why does CCP continue to neglec it?

Miners of EVE are the joke of the game. Isn't it time for CCP to either just remove that aspect from the game or fix it? When will the mining profession become a viable and as important of a profession as grief ganking seems to have become?



Face it miners in Eve are treated like the fat kid on the play ground that no one wants to pick and end up being fought over who has to have them on thier team.
Either get rid of them or invent a mechanic like Hockey where at least the fat kid works as being the goalie because nothing can get past his fat arse stuffed in a goal & every1 likes shooting pucks and aiming at his face

I think it's like a lot of political issues that people know need to be addressed, but suicide to do so. The only option is to ignore it and change the subject.

Like PI huh. Sounds like the belts will be as overextracted as some planets are.

I didnt say you should ignore it rather it's a fact of life. Best to stick ones head in the ground and hope it goes away or have akward conversation with like an ex girlfriend or something.

But yes many a time this comes back to bite ya in the ass...or in the case of mining create bots.
