PI "OSNAP" feature

When building PI setups I find it annoying they way the UI is designed to place pins as close together as possible. Since pins cannot overlap, maybe adding an snap to feature where pins within x pixels automatically move right next to their neighbor would significantly reduce wasted time during the design and building of colonies.

Agreed. Snapping on the initial facilities placement would have been really helpful.

Also: Taking the opportunity to plug other "easy" PI fixes:

Can we also please introduce a "destroy" option for commodities we don't want to export (often raw materials in surplus) to avoid having to pay customs duties.

Can we please also have a colour adjustment for the harvester head range circle (in white) which tends to be hard to distinguish from a 'hot" / "high density" zone on the map? Else: may I suggest something like a strong black outline on the diameter of the extractor head?

Excellent idea!

While we are at it, can we also move the extractor heads as single unit? It could work the same as scanner probes, where you hold down the left-shift key and all the probes move in the same direction. With the left-alt key we could scale the extractor heads in- or outwards in the very same fashion.

+1 for OP idea.

Also - can we get a fix for the link distance? Just because a gas planet is bigger doesn't mean i'm going to willingly place my stuff further apart. If I put two pins as close together as possible that should be the same distance regardless of planet size.


#2. Can we tone down the ice planets a bit? Or change the color of the menus or something? When you zoom in they wash out a lot of controlls (think build menu).


#3. Little closer on the zoom please? It's sometimes difficult to click your link for upgrade/monitoring when everything is touching as you can't zoom close enough.

+1 for snapping build pins and extractor heads

i do think comoddity will become worth "less" if this is implemented, but afaik PI is boring as **** slave work anyways
