Unable to Install Client Update

I get the following error every time I start the game and try to log in;

Unable to install the client update.

Press 'OK' to continue.

I posted this two days ago in the Issues forum, but I have yet to get any kind of meaningful response... I figured I could get more exposure here and hopefully find someone that has had this same issue and fixed it. It is really delaying switching between characters and is just generally very frustrating.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I did see the post at the top of the issues forum, but that was for Windows XP and not even the most recent patch.

welp, if the game don't update does it launch?

I'd be more concerned that I can't get in as opposed to complaining that I cant switch toons, makes it sound like a 23/7 kind of operation instead of casual play

but that's just how I read it

I never said I cannot switch toons. All I said was it is delaying switching between characters. Every time I log off the game shuts down, reopens, and says "Oh, theres a patch to download!"... it tries to download... fails to install. I then log in to my account and it says "Oh, theres a patch to download!"... it tries to download... fails to install.

This makes it take 60-90 seconds longer to log on my second character then is necessary. I am not entirely sure how that makes me sound like a botter, but I am guessing I did not explain the problem fully. Ignore the second character issue, it still delays my ability to login to the game by 60-90 seconds. While this is not game breaking it is a HUGE annoyance, something that I have to go through multiple times per day, and is a bug that I can not fix.
