It is said that Soundwave is living in wormhole space. This can only be a good thing for us WH dwellers to have the lead game designer in here surly making him more sympathetic to our views. Can you confirm / deny this? Big smile

So TwoStep is trying to push through the POS overhaul to make wormhole space more livable but im wondering what else Grayscale considers to need changing.

Obviously Soundwave cant reveal his ingame charicter(s) but just have a few questions for ya!

What class wormhole do you live in?
Do you think wormhole PvP is too infrequent?
Or do you think you can be ganked to easy?
Do you feel its necisary to use OOG tools such as wormnav, static mapper etc to live in wormholes sucessfully?
Do you think its a good thing that even low class wormholes can spawn the highest class of ladar/gravs.

What do you think are the biggest problems currently in WH space?
Overpowered parts of wormhole space?

How can more players be encouraged to live in wh space

High class ladars spawning in low class wormhole hey? That's news to me...

I'd like to know if soundwave thinks that the scanning and D-scan interface needs upgrading.

What class wormhole do you live in?
c2 w/ c2/LS statics

Do you think wormhole PvP is too infrequent?
No, I think it's more or less fine

Or do you think you can be ganked to easy?
yeah it is pretty easy. Not sure its a problem though

Do you feel its necisary to use OOG tools such as wormnav, static mapper etc to live in wormholes sucessfully?
Yes its pretty necessary

Do you think its a good thing that even low class wormholes can spawn the highest class of ladar/gravs.
I'm fine with it, and I don't do either. But afaik, the lowest class wh's dont spawn the highest class of ladars. Proof?

What do you think are the biggest problems currently in WH space?
Overpowered parts of wormhole space?

Obviously the POS security situation. Other then that I'm fine with most everything.

How can more players be encouraged to live in wh space
I don't want to encourage more players to live in wh space. It seems with the drone land nerf, and the new japanese players, wh space is getting plenty crowded. I use to find an empty c2 static at least once a week. I now haven't found one in more then a month of almost daily checking. MAYBE, make it a little easier for c5-c6 wh's to get to Kspace, to attract more people to those hole types, if that would even help.

I'd rather not see C5/C6 holes become easier to access from k-space. That is, and should be, the deep end of the pool. As sparsely populated as C5's are, I'm not even sure I want to see additional incentives to live there. The rewards are high, and so are the risks. Less C5's might be one way to go, but definitely fix some of the unnecessary downsides (like POS mechanics).

Cannot get 3-Digit Ladar Gases from anything less than a C5, so high-end ladars are out.

What class wormhole do you live in?
C2: Live generally C5-C1 space( rarely get down into c6 space)

Do you think wormhole PvP is too infrequent?
Would be nice to have more but its ok as it is.

Or do you think you can be ganked to easy?
No, not one bit. WH space is dangerous, people whinging they got ganked shouldnt be running sites without op security etc. WH space is about 2 T's: Teamwork and Terror.

Do you feel its necisary to use OOG tools such as wormnav, static mapper etc to live in wormholes sucessfully?
Yes

Do you think its a good thing that even low class wormholes can spawn the highest class of ladar/gravs.
No comment. No knowledge of this.

What do you think are the biggest problems currently in WH space?
People hiding in their POSes ;).

Overpowered parts of wormhole space?
None.

The highest class of grav and ladar are only present in c5 + 6.

The biggest grav site can have 10 hulks with rorq support going at it for the full 72 hours and not get cleared.

Ok, maybe not. But each time you tag a 5b+ kill you do wonder how many are isk buyers and how many could be connected, T20 style.

What class wormhole do you live in?
C2 HS static

Do you think wormhole PvP is too infrequent?
Business has been a bit slow lately

Or do you think you can be ganked to easy?
depends what I am doing and if flying drunk

Do you feel its necessary to use OOG tools such as wormnav, static mapper etc to live in wormholes successfully?
My group doesn't go too deep and we are there for PVE and PI....and to lose Nocti apparently(see WH failblog thread)

Do you think its a good thing that even low class wormholes can spawn the highest class of ladar/gravs.
Sure don't but then I don't run those sites just provide security during ops

Edit: Obligatory bump for POS security overhaul

Despite my posting prowess I really am terrible at this game

I will respond to the question that I can currently answer (as I don't currently live in w-space, waiting for Talocan to open recruiting again Big smile ). Also I'm a newbie to wormholes, so I can't answer, for example, the pvp ones.

I don't want more people in w-space. The sparseness of it is what's so appealing. You feel like a total boss, because you're doing something most pilots are scared of. Just like when Eve first started, 0.0 felt like REAL space, vast, with only the occassional wayfarer.

Obviously, this is an MMO. But even MMOs, and especially Eve, can become too crowded.

On a related note, I'm Spar...Soundwavicus!

What class wormhole do you live in?

c5> c5

Do you think wormhole PvP is too infrequent?

Nope we get 1-2 good fights in wh's per week, plenty of collapsing squads and the odd ******** carrier/site runners. People do not seem to realise the beauty of WH space does not lie within the space itself, its ability to travel to lowsecs/nulls all over eve with a single WH chain. That is where the PvP is at but most WH corps would rather gank stuff or shoot structures.

Or do you think you can be ganked to easy?

Nope, I have been in WH space for 2 years and never lost any PvE ship.

Do you feel its necisary to use OOG tools such as wormnav, static mapper etc to live in wormholes sucessfully?

lol yes

Do you think its a good thing that even low class wormholes can spawn the highest class of ladar/gravs.

They do not spawn the highest end of Ladars, no idea on gravs.

What do you think are the biggest problems currently in WH space?

Biggest problem in WH space? POS mechanics are one the other is carebears that warp to there pos and log off soon as a combat scanner appears on scan, those people should stick to nullsec.

Overpowered parts of wormhole space?

None, the risk far out weights the rewards in nearly every situation. Running anoms in caps, your caps are stuck there from the mass of sleeper scrams/webs. Running radars/mags you will be scrammed and stuck there yet again. If you are running sites 2 jumps into your chain there is nothing stopping a random occurance WH spawn to open up on you route home and getting ganked on your way back.

Nothing is overpowered in WH space.
