Average FPS during fight at the gate in Poitot, with brackets disabled - Zoomed out:1-5 in fleet 30-50 general flight
Average FPS - Zoomed in:3-14 in fleet 30-50 general flight
On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? (1=way worse, 5=same, 10=OMG this is awesome): 1 in fleet fight and 10 in general Singularity flight
Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? Yes, a lot when node crashed.
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: I like this patch a lot and hope to see its bug free version on Tranquility soon.

Don't let them fly safe!

User Experience

Average FPS during fight at the gate in FD-, with brackets disabled - Zoomed out: ~20 fps
Average FPS - Zoomed in: ~15 fps
On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ?
I'll just say 10
Did you experience any disconnects or crashes?
Node kept crashing cause people can't read.
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: I don't know what all was tested besides the Ti-Di and server strength, but from what I saw....it was beautiful, especially the Ti-Di. Slow down, stop, speed up, all ran smooth and was pretty psychedelic. Drones didn't seem very responsive, but it may have just been me.

  • Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? 3 before the test, and 1 just as the test was starting, shortly after we were given the order to align to planet 7.
  • Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: Minus the crashes, the test was smooth. Saw numerous complaints about guns not cycling properly in chat. I didn't have that problem. Shield, Armor, and Structure gauges were bugged at about 2/3. Capacitor gauge was bugged sitting full. Bugged gauges reported (ID:116969).

• Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: Part from a slow start for the modules to activate it was a good fight.
With a Window Size (Window Mode) of 1280x799 for the game the status text like "Heavy Pulse Laser II belonging to PlayerX heavily hits you, inflicting # damage." hides some of the text from your targets.
Got a few "Message not found" errors after one of my targets died msg was:

• Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: Fielded a dread for the test, found that the guns need to be continuously activated. Guns would fire one cycle then stop firing, plus there was no indicator on the tgt or on the guns that they were active. Drones randomly engaged targets, noticed they preferred shooting inactive/abandoned drones lol "OBEY ME DRONES!!!"....

Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? lol yeah, a lot
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: server was crashing way too much, slow motion was kinda cool. was getting damage notifications but target was not updating, also a VERY annoying thing, I could see guys yellowboxing me, but not red boxes. this happens on TQ as well ofc, but this one was worse I guess. some guy saw shooting me for over 2 minutes and I had to locate him with name, as he was not red boxed.
and I was getting message pop-ups when target was exploding.

Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? once with the mass crash when fleets were formed and sum1 pulled the plug on the system, and once after the test was over and i was in my pod still on grid.
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.:

was nice seeing TiDi used with a decent number of people, decided to try bombing (can almost see veritas' death stare) warping to and from grids wasnt silky smoothe but it never will be.
I was loading grid with brackets on btw and had typically loaded within 5 to 7 seconds. modules activated almost instantly, unless under heavy TiDi, in which case the pause built in to activating any module was very apparent. (might need to address that btw! cause people could mistake that for module lag)
checked my logs several times and despite knowing i was hitting a lot of things, they never registered on my logs except for a few select things.
my eventual death at the hands of a mach (i think) caused a 10 or so second of what looked like a crash with my ship and screen frozen and "out of control" after then it resumed and was in my pod.

after that when i was observing the field and the test was over for about 4 or 5 mins my client dropped entirely bt i guessed that was devs pulling the plug for the FD system.

    * Did you experience any disconnects or crashes?During test 2 crashes 1 lost connection. Had been experiencing random crashes prior to test whilst prepping ships etc.
    * Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: Aligning and warping were smooth. Time dilation at the POS tower shoot looked quite cool could not see projectles though. PVP element was a better experience than previous test., although I did not see the time dilation monitor/indicator. I was able to engage and direct drones to targets, use the fleet window for rep requests ( Thank you to all those who obliged) and lasted much longer (time dilation?) than the last test. Could not auto repeat on guns and cap booster, and was difficult to tell if the modules were active or not. Unstable Power Fluctator and Invuln Fields had their green/red outlines displayed when toggled on/off. Ammunition is lost from weapons when relogging after a crash.

Other issues encountered were strange UI behaviour, windows randomly resizing and grouping. There were no numerical values displayed for angular velocity on the overview (new font problem?) just a text string "[{Numerical Value}]".

Oh and the new font is a little large on the overview etc, it would be great if i could be rescaled as for the menus.

I wasn't able to make it unfortunately, but I had a corp mate who told me about the new Time Dilation stuff. It sounds promising. He did tell me that the camera panning slows down, as does the overview (and all menus?). I assume because it's slowing down the entire physics engine (from my understanding) that these MUST be slowed down as well? If I have this wrong, then would it be possible to separate at least those two? So we can still look around and see whats going on at a normal rate? Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the next test.

    As for the other features

New Font - Looks a little big, I can't tell if there actually has been a size increase, or if it's just new and I'm not used to it. Still, this rocks, I love it, I can actually tell the difference between characters now!

New CQ - Love the gallente the most, caldari a close second, good work.

New Cyno - *cry* didn't get to see it, servers are down now, I'll try to update later.

Last but not least, HANGER VIEW - I love you again CCP, I know we've been through some hard times, but I think seeing that counselor together really paid off. It helps that you aren't doing drugs anymore, and I really thing we have a chance at making this relationship last. I know we get in arguments sometimes, I think the last one was loud enough the cops might have gotten called, but I really see you trying to improve yourself now.

I grabbed my ship and dragged it over the background and dropped it, and it activated, then I double clicked the background and opened my cargo hold.

I love pretty shiny new CQ's when I'm in the mood to play with them (<3 enter CQ button), but I don't like it when it impairs my functionality. There are times I need to be quick to joining alliance ops, super tackled or something, and spending 15 seconds figuring out what ship I logged in and opening my cargo hold to see if I still have ammo was really annoying. I'm glad you listened to the players here CCP. By all means build pretty shinys, but don't reduce functionality to do it.
