If any miner can post a killmail of them losing their Hulk with a tank of over 20k EHP, I will send that pilot 10 million ISK, for up to 10 pilots. Why only 10x10 million ISK? Because I'm poor, sorry. Its' the economy, man.

Start postin dem killmails.

Edit : With Andski and Joran also paying out 10m each, the total pool is now 300m ISK. Still waiting for the first API verified kill of a tanked hulk!

You can get over 20k EHP pretty easy. It will cut down your maximum yield though.
Thing is that you might not survive, but it will take a heck of a lot more than a dessie or 2 or 3 to pop your arse.

Make it harder for them to kill you.
The harder it is the more it costs them.

And with more EHP you actually have more chance to survive a noob gank attack.

Again... (seems to be flavour of the month time)

As a budget-conscious Highsec miner you don't tank against suicide gankers.

If you tank at all, you tank against Highsec rats (shield buffer or passive shield recharge).

And this after you maximized mining yield and cargo capacity.

You tank suicide gankers by system and belt selection and probability.

You tank suicide tankers by mixed calculation (x times high yield - n lost ships > x+n times low yield).

Mining is a business.

Businesses are ran by numbers, not by hurt feelings, killmails or epeen.

I don't have any money but I do have some free advice. Instead of wasting huge amounts of money on a tanked hulk, just buy a covetor. It mines nearly as much as a tanked hulk and is currently about 250 Million ISK cheaper. Oh and you can insure it too, seems like a no-brainer to me.

Hulks cannot be fitted adequately to survive, all you do is bork the very thing they're designed for, which surprisingly enough is mining!

I'd just rather call Concord to the belt with an alt and run if Local is invaded or Concord is 'summoned away'.

Sacrificing yield is idiotic after that monstrous train for maximum yield. Siege Ganglink that Orca and use Shield Maint. Bots and you are as good to go as you will ever be.

You lose 18%, almost 20% of Max Yield without MLU's in the Lows.

I would lose more ISK in one week than the cost of replacing TWO Hulks at least.

4 Tornados and this thing is still toast. Tanking is useless. Really it is.

Try it, fine.

But posting any Hulk Tank is a waste of time. They are all breakable, and do break indeed.

Then post the fit where you have a LSE fitted plus which implants you use to be able to fit it.

Also make sure you don't have any resistance holes :)

I know the best tank for a hulk, it can even survive 200 tornados.

Its called a warp drive.

Just out of curiosity are there any orcas being ganked during hulkageddon, considering a orca has about 100,000ehp

You can get 150 000 EHP omni tank on orca relatively easily.

Try 250k EHP
