switzerland and EU VAT

Whats wrong? Switzerland is not in the EU (European Union) so we dont have to pay VAT to EU.

Its rascim and illegal. It's hard enough to accept the euro as currency of payment for EVE Online.

Let us pay in dollars or remove the VAT.

Any statement?

You buy a foreign product from outside your country and thus you pay the tax. Nothing wrong with it.

Only if your country taxes the item. The game is made in Iceland, iceland is not part of the US, yet the US does not pay the tax.

The VAT is an EU thing, Switzerland is not in the EU, ergo the Swiss should not pay the tax - unless the tax was extended to Switzerland under the terms of the Schengen treaty that Switzerland signed? I'm not sure about this, but I doubt it applies, seeing as how downloading copyright protected stuff is also not illegal here (at least as far as I know, but *uploading* copyright protected stuff is)

Of course but not EU VAT for online games, thats the point.

I just wanted to point that out.
