Just out of curiosity are there any orcas being ganked during hulkageddon, considering a orca has about 100,000ehp

yes orcas are dying we've killed 2 one in hisec and one in lowsec took about 20 thrashers to kill the hisec one. But it was untanked

You can get 150 000 EHP omni tank on orca relatively easily.

TBH if I was a miner I'd mine in a Rokh. Half yield of a hulk, tanks five times more damage.

Can be, but won't be, as long as you are mining in a belt full of colleagues flying poorly fitted AFK hulks.

As has been quoted a few times lately, you don't have to be faster than the bear, you just have to be faster than the slowest guy running from the bear.

Just FYI, If your Orca has less than 175k EHP, you deserve to be ganked. I am running mine at 198k and there is still room to expand a little. And that is with cargo rigs. You COULD run tank rigs, but that would be a bit silly.

Thing is it's the expensive Hulks being ganked that is causing all the fuss, those who have decided to mine in the much cheaper alternatives during the event aren't crying if they lose their ship as they're easily replaceable. I can see the point this thread is trying to make, not that it will silence the whiners much.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...
