EVE General Discussion

When I was listening to this sound: SPACE SOUND it made me feel like i was in the Eve universe, roaming space in a battleship far away, maybe in a distant wormhole. It's only sound but it createse some strange space immersion and i think it alters the consciousness, if you listen to it for a while.
You can try it yourself, close your eyes, realax, imagine a calm scene in Eve (not a fleetfight, something more silent) while listening to this sound - and you will be right there, in this Eve scene.

I've been involved in the live performance of ambient music since the early - mid 1970's. I have been disappointed time and again by electronic attempts to capture the feeling of an environment. The closest I have come to music that achieves the sensory envelopment of the listener in such an environment, from electronic composers, has been in the arena of modern worship music of Christian, Buddhist and other faiths.
This was a revelation, and I have started to hunt down other works. The biggest difficulties I have are search engines that list stuff that is "popular" first, and music lists that don't get "Ambient" I thought they said technology improved life?
