We have very different ideas of fun.

Nothing against those who enjoy it, just not my cup o'tea.

How to stay safest: Go unsub and play another MMO. Eventually the dropping subs will give CCP an incentive to change it. Then the Goons mass unsub and we see if CCP are willing to accept THAT loss to prevent noobs and miners from leaving

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

The game works as designed. Sandbox means you need to adapt because your enemies are doing the same.

The way to stay safe is to essentially make yourself unappealing to go after. This means bare basics t1 Barges with nothing special on them. Insure them and don't cry when they get popped as it's only a 5 mil or so isk loss at that point - or none if you're mining for a while before you get blown up.

And it will be a while. Pirates, knowing they will lose their ships in 0.5 and take a sec status hit won't risk it for no payout and equal isk in losses.

Nobody bothers to steal the 20 year old Civic when there's a shiny Mercedes next to it.

Did you know that mining in a maxed BS is funnier than do so in a Hulk?

It takes about 4 minutes to fill your hold, then you just jump back to station, then warp to another bookmark and repeat...this also makes easier to meet rats as you'll be jumping to "fresh" unspawned belts on every shift.

Compared to that, it takes about 13 minutes to load a Hulk to the top...

Ore per minute is kinda carp (750ish m3 minus drones), but fun per minute is sweet. Lol

Do not undock in a mining ship.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

A few month's(?) ago we jumped on a cap ship, badly cynoed in, way, way of docking range.
He was part of a bunch of caps that jumped in all together.
Before he got his triage up he was dead.

I went happy to bed, knowing we killed a cap.
Then I woke up feeling sad for the dude because non of his "friends" undocked and even tried to help him.

Weird no? I enjoyed massively killing it then extrapolated on that and next day felt not so 'happy' about it.

Then again this whole game is about dog eats dog. If you don't eat dog, dog eats you.

Thing is, shooting any mining specialized vessel is like fishing with dynamite sticks.
Only way for the fish to survive is not be there at all.

Real men don't fish with dynamite. :o

Come, come now. There is no problem that cannot be solved with a proper application of high explosives.

Funny how ppl use the sandbox as an excuse for hulkageddon and yet if you point out the game is a sandbox an thats why high sec isnt the starter zone they still QQ lol

Rokh with T2 miners and T2 crystals pulls in 1200 m3 / minute and has 625 m3 cargohold if you go for full yield+tank.

I think the best thing in hulkageddon is to mine with some armed friends in cloaked fleet. Try it!Twisted

Not enough time for Recon to lock destroyer if ganker isn't a noob.

For one man ops it's easier to go to full hold+tank.

You can, you can.
Only issue is that it works for Hulks but Macks always die even if you instalock the dessie.

I actually wonder why Macks get such crap tank. After all they are also 0.0 ships for the ice out there, aren't they?
