Hello,

So here is a thought. Make a skill called Recall or Retrace.

Level 1 > gain 100% of your training from a level one skill . i.e Covert Ops level 1 would return 1.000 points into your learning pool. Skill book cannot be used for 30 days, should you remove all skill points from it.

Level 2 > gain 98% of your training from a level two skill. i.e Covert ops level 2 would return 4657 - 2%. It would then reset the training book two level 1. Which if you Recalled it would give you 1.000 points.

Level 3 > 96% of your training from a level three skill. Covert Ops level 3 > 26.343 - 4%, Level 2 > 4657 - 2%, Level 1 > 1000.

Level 4 > 94% of your training from a level four skill. Skill book cannot be used for 21 days.

Level 5 > 95% of your training from a level four skill. Skill book cannot be used for 21 days.

Note > You cannot unlearn a skill that is level 5.

I'm sure we can all agree that as you learn the game you realized you have learned skills that are not useful in any way to your play style. I know I have at least a dozen level 1 or level 2 skills that are completely useless to my character due to not understanding how they work or realizing their for something I don't plan to take up any further.

Please help me relay this message to ccp. There should be a way for us to clean up our skill training.

Thank you.

While I think that your implementation is a good one, I cannot agree with this idea. I think one of the things that makes EVE great is that your choices have consequences. Also, this would be a big exploit for alts IMO.

Every new player makes some mistakes or invests point to explore new options, but realizing you've made a mistake or that you dislike the options you've earned is part of the learning cliff of EVE.

Beyond that, your proposal would be impossible to implement because almost every skill functions as a prerequisite for some other skill, and usually before level 5. Take the Frigate skills for example, they grant you the prereq for the associated cruiser skill at level 4. If you trained Frigate 4 and then trained Cruiser to 4 and wanted to 'Recall' the Frigate skill would you regain all the points invested in Cruiser as well? That's a recipe for exploitation, so I say no.

It always intresting how people make these kinds of post just cause the disagree with a post, they offer no useful inside, and they only show how...Immature they are. And what going to happen now, is someone will come by and attempt to troll this post, even though I really don't give two *****.

Joshua while this sounds like a interesting idea. It takes away some of the 'features' of choices. Taking away as Loius says, consequences of your choices. While I'm sure there are hundreds of plays that wish to get rid of those random skill 'trees' they don't ever use now. There could also be other problems, like Green said, where people could explote it, even CCP said themselves, every feature they've come out with, the player base explotes it to it fullest. Which makes putting some ideas in rather hard.

like the neural remap I kind of like this idea... but maybe limit the ability or once a year and up to a certain percentage of skill points

There is plenty of useful insight offered in the other multiple threads about this EXACT SAME TOPIC in this very subforum. Why should I repeat what's already been said? Unlike the OP and yourself, I know how to search.

If you know how to search, then why bother to respond to this thread? Roll You clearly know everything already.

Because the OP clearly didn't know how to search and needed to be told that that's the first thing to do before making a new thread like this.
