It costs me 54billion isk a month to run my alliance's infrastructure and logistics.

As it stands, an empire griefer alliance can shut that down for pocket change. A few dudes looking to kill unguarded ships who don't fire back isn't what war declarations intention was when they were introduced.

The people who are upset are the ones who declare war against entities to grief their pilots, not actually fight them in empire.

This fix to a broken mechanic is long over due.

Maybe you should guard your infrastructure sending escorts along with your haulers to protect them, seriously you expect high sec to be safe so you can carebear along happily picking up the shopping?

Last time I went on an FA logistics escort we had around a hundred combat ships, didnt see any war targets coming at us for 'good fights'.
If you dont know what you are talking about, its best not to talk.

Lick Windows much?

Firstly what does good fights have to do with anything?? We're not talking about 'good fights', we're talking about Zagdul crying that that unguarded haulers were getting prevented by a couple dudes in highsec, so either those hundred combat ships are afk or you're not talking about the day to day hauling in high sec.

Now it doesn't matter who you are but if you want to be able to buy crap in highsec and move back to your lowsec/0.0 base then you need to be flying escort and guarding the damn ships all the way through.

Highsec isn't safe for the little 1 man corp noob miner sitting in a belt and it shouldn't be for the 1000+ strong alliance in 0.0 who wants risk free empire hauling.

So feel free to take your own advise.

How much does Eve luv your corp?
Please everyone put an end to inflation & declare war on the Goons so the WarDec ISK sink eleminates all inflation Blink

Because teh goonies are so concerned by high sec wardecs, I'll tell you what.

I will admit, It would be nice to be able to head into Jita without having to do it on a market alt. Currently there's usually one or two of the "Supah Highsec PEE VEE PEErs" exploiting the black screen bug to get free kills, so...

Although I think that losing the barnacles hanging off the Jita undock will be the end of importing to VFK for a profit. Ah well.

To be honest I don't see why CCP shouldn't just cap the costs so once you hit say 500 people thats as expensive as it gets.

Do you really get more targets/fun as the numbers grow past that?? surely the majority of larger corps/aliances wouldn't be in empire space anyhow.

oh Q ******* Q,

1) form corp
2) get a decent number of people in it (under 10 isn't a decent number)
3) set tax to 100%
4) corp fleet incursions for like 3 hours
5) drop tax back to normal
6) war dec the goons
7) marvel at the sudden appearance of your shiny new undercarage in your boxer shorts.

Uhm.

I do see one advantage to this mechanic. In the old wardec system it made absolutely no sense for a high-sec corporation to grow beyond a certain point as they would just be painting a bulls eye on their back for griefing and wardeccing.

In this new system a very large empire coalition would be so expensive to war-dec that griefer deccing would no longer be feasible.

So I guess it's giving empire dwellers an incentive to have bigger corporations or form larger alliances.

I believe the broken mechanic here is not "fixing" the system so your logistics chain can be safely run under concord protection due to inflated wardec costs.
Instead of proudly posting how much it costs to run your alliance how about putting in the time and man power to actually protect your supply chain from origin to final destination.
You know with one of those proper fleets you advised people to come meet you with?
There is not "mechanic" or "concord" in actual war to hide behind granting protection from gorilla warfare and piracy.
Why should there be in eve?
Seriously though dude..If your pilots are to lazy or above flying escort..Folks should be able to blow up your unprotected ships for menial duckets.

If Goons were around when God said, "Let there be light" they'd have called the light gay, and plunged the universe back into darkness by squatting their nutsacks over it.

How is it anyones fault but your own if you are going to move items unguarded? This is why we send gun trucks with supply convoys and why submarines would flank transport ships moving goods between continents.

4 bil to wage a war for a week is crazy and I hope CCP sees that. It is hilarious to me to see all the blob corps in here hoping it stays the same for roll out. I do not expect anything less from Goons and alike though.

So now there's a natural cap (monetary) on what's a valid target for a dec, noob corp immunity is no longer needed.

- right?

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships
