Scanned location scenery - shooting it?

Okay, I have no idea really what to call this or how to search for it - google has even failed me.

The scenery and structures found in scanned down locations such as gravimetric sites - are they destructible?

I lock and fire upon them, but hit constant 0's, my drones won't attack them.

The reason this really confuses me is because the mission scenery I saw with a corp mate included this kind of mining station - we blew it up and it dropped loot.

Am I missing something here?

(Sorry if wrong location - nothing seemed to fit and scanning is science)

Mission wise, you can usually check out eve-survival.org for a mission report and it'll usually tell you what is destructible, what it drops and whether or not it's worth it. Some structures are just massive in terms of "hit points" and it simply isn't worth sitting there grinding it down.

You are looking at the difference between Large Collidable Objects (indestructible), and Large Collidable Structures (destructible). LCOs have no icon when you lock them. LCSs do. They are seperate entries for your overview. Beware that having either one ro both of them enabled can hopelessly flood you roverview with spam structures when you need to be seeing important stuff like rats or reds.

The above suggestion is very good. Use that site.
