Q (QU) and O (OH) are still one and the same, basically. Capital letters, that is.

The world is a community of idiots doing a series of things until it explodes and we all die.

If I may recycle Krispy's imagery, I'd like to point out that interpunction is near impossible to see in many places, e.g. the Security level and the time.

Also, the character spacing (horizontal width between chars) is excessive. My overview needs to be nearly fullscreen@ 1920x1440 to be able to see name, speed and traversal columns (ok I'm exaggerating but not a lot)

(almost?) all new text has no shadowing, whether "in space" or inside any given UI element. This makes it anywhere from difficult to impossible to read text against lighter backgrounds, including certain skyboxes. For an extreme example, here the text for a Cynosural Field I against its own effect:

Note how the bracket itself retains its shadow and is therefore still visible.

Honestly, the new font gives me headaches and makes me a little nauseous after a while.

Also needs some work on scale. Some elements of the UI don't need to be quite as large as they are while others are perhaps a tad too small.

I prefer the old font, I find this new one harder to read which I don't understand because it is bigger.

Honestly don't see the advantage to this new font. I agree with the guy who said it looks like a 2001 linux distro font. Preferred the old one.

New font is really bad. Way too much spacing. Way too big. I would stay with the old rather than the new. Just use a standard font like Arial or Times New Roman. Really, it looks like crap.

This pretty much sums up the experience for me. The new font looks great, very readable compared to the old, but sizing is a big issue. Especially on the overview.

I don't really like the new font, somehow it's just awkward to read.

The current font looks better in all situations. There is still difficulty in telling Q and O apart. Multiple zeros look worse. I will have to give up more space to enlarge overview, drone, fleet, watchlist, and chat tabs.

In my opinion, the font is too big. Make it resizable and please give me an option to use the old font instead. And it looks too .. mmm .. how can I say this .. 1980's. Very retro. Maybe a bit too retro ;)

Are you feeling okay, CCP? Not that I'm complaining, mind you...

TBH, Using Microsoft Windows' 'Terminal' at '6' pts would work better than the proposed new font as shown today.

Freakily there are almost no better-formed, readable fonts with the same density, anywhere. as Terminal 6.

If you've not already, do check out http://keithdevens.com/wiki/ProgrammerFonts as programmers have much the same need for highly-readable, compact fonts that make the most out of available screen estate while preserving critical distinctions between similar characters.

Sadly I don't think Terminal or (m)any programming fonts have full sets of non-English characters. Sad

Anyway, I think there's much to be said about cribbing from Terminal, or the smaller XTerm (fixedsys) fonts, or some of those programmer fonts, and then extending to forrin.

It's hard work making good, working, attractive fonts, and I have high hopes.

Basicly... I hate the new font look. Glad I can say which one is 0 or O but why does it have to be so ugly. And so big ( I had to make my OV 20% widther to even see same information I had there before) - no, not everybody can play in 1920xsomething. And it's so 8-bit. I feel like playing on my Commodore again.

I play in 1920x1200 but still prefer the old font it is more readable than this new one for some reason. Hopefully CCP will give us a choice and we can still use the original font if we so choose.
