Pricing plan for PLEX - RL MONEY

After noticing the new currency payment type of £ Sterling being £9.99 as opposed to the 14.99 Euros , i also thought to check the prices of PLEX



So CCP set the price of :
1 PLEX . £16.99
2 PLEX . £ 29.99

Great i save £3.99



Yet you look further into it.
6 PLEX , £89.99 (Most Popular)
2 PLEX , £29.99 - x 3 = £89.97...

Cheaper than buying 6 in one go ??


Then you look at 12.

12 PLEX = £179.99

6 PLEX = £89.99 x 2 = £179.98
2 Plex = £29.99 x 6 = £179.92



Then 28 PLEX
28 PLEX = £409.99

Cheapest possible way would be 14 x £29.99 = £419.86
So you'd only save £9.87


So seem the only way you get a bulk discount out of buying these PLEX is if you buy the largest bundle.
But why does a Bundle of 6 cost more that 3 bundles of 2 ?



Is there some kind of economics i seem to be missing here

Maybe I have prejudices but I believe people that buy 28 PLEX in one go don't care that much about saving a few cent or pennies but do care alot about conveniency.

In Euroland we buy for

1 19.95
2 34.99 (17.495 each)
6 104.97 (17.495 each)
12 209.94 (still 17.495 each)
28 489.86 (surprise! 17.495 each)

I feel at times it's more convenient to be able to redeem PLEX to different locations, so smaller packages are the better option for me. Special offers that give an additional discount or special items are different of course...

ccps plex are overpriced ripoff, no wonder we have so much rmt trouble.

I dont think this is worth making a thread but I have a question about plex, google and forum search turned up nothing. Someone is camping a freighter wreck in Perimiter with a plex in cargohold. Under info for the plex it states the plexes volume is .01m3 when I try to loot it I get a message saying plastic wrap takes up 28000m3.

Does plex really take up 28000m3 and if so why does info say it is only .01? I lost a shuttle and a rookie ship btw Smile If my hauler could fit a cargo rig I would probably be losing my Iteron 5 this very moment lol.

I recall one night in a nightclub called the matrix, there I was... Mother of god there I am! Holy f**k.

Depends on the game mode you choose. Money for PLEX or time for ISK for PLEX.
