Did I get scammed by GoonSwarm?

So about two days ago someone contacted me about joining SUNDERING in the goonswarm federation. He asked me a bunch of questions. And then after about two hours of talking he gave me a sponsor code. He told me to go here

And I filled out the application. The next day it says I need to give them a 525mill security deposit since I have been in a corp that is red with them. I don't believe them so I spend about an hour talking to other people. They convince me that its not a scam. I send them the money and they are still talking to me. Saying Ill get an Eve mail with my mumble account and forum account and stuff like this. My corp says I got scammed but it seems so legit.

dude, its a scam... You should never..... never.... never...... ever!!!!! pay isk to get into a corp.. nomatter what corp it is.... I have been in TEST which is better than goons imo... and I didnt have to pay 1 isk... they will prob string you along and ask for more isk.. or actually let you in just because you posted this and I replied... either way.. good luck.

and dont ever do this again whether it works out or not... there is absolutely nothing standard about pay me and I may or may not let you in my corp....

A lot of null sec alliances and corps will take a deposit due to the cost of getting pilots out to their location. This would involve jumping ships and assets as well. If the pilot joined and then jumped ship, the corps would be out the isk. Paying money to move stuff is EVE.

Hmm alright. I can see why I would be charged one. And they still talk to me. So I don't think I did get scammed. If I did I give the props. They did a great job lol.

Apparently I just got my app expedited for the small fee of 100 mill. This is the last thing I ever pay them. Lol Guess I really want to join this corp if im trusting them with that much money. Sometimes I do things then think back on it and say "You ******* noob"

i have been all over new eden in many BIG alliances. never once have i been asked to pay. and FYI the only way to join goons is through the website something awful.com this process takes about 6 months and youll need a sponsor. even then you still might get scammed. but it is the only "legit" way to join. the website will also cost you 10$ to join. so figure the 8000 members paying 10$ and youll nderstand why they have such great funds to buy anything in game. either way you were probabally scammed and wont see a dime of that isk again. NEVER PAY TO JOIN ANYTHING EVER.......Pirate

it is 100% scam. read the forums use the search tab and look up goons scam. you see this thing posted probabally 2-3000 times from people just like you, sorry about your loss but thats how they roll.

Well. I believe you guys. My problem is I believe people to east lol. If I dont see any of it agian do you guys have any suggestions for some null sec pvp? That wont cost me all my $$

just look in forums and such. drop your name into the threads that interest you. but just dont pay anyone **** to join. any corp worth thier **** in null wouldnt charge you to move stuff anyways. and tbh just buy your stuff in your new home. hassle solved. profit

I've read a hundred of these threads, and they never seem to get old.

Without operations like mine it would be impossible for certain Alliances to conduct a respectable war. There are three basic types of arms deal: white, being legal, black, being illegal, and my personal favorite, gray.

For 250mil isk I can get your isk back BUT you need to in game mail me the person you originally gave the isk to once you do that transfer me the isk and within 4 days you'll have your isk back
