In regards to the "fun" factor the Ashimmu is not the number 1. I find both the Curse and the Pilgrim a better choice. For the following reasons:

Price/Effeciency (curse/pilgrim)
Suprise effect (pilgrim)
drones dmg over lasers (pilgrim)
range on neuts (curse)

minus:
The web factor, its pretty awesome.
Other cruisers excel at solo pvp or small gang.

But if you want to fly something not twelve a dosin i recommend you give the Ashimmu a try. I liked it, but with T2 fitting you ain't getting the whole package. Go faction on it for a bit (scram/web) and you will find lowsec THAT more soloable and fun. Do note that the scan ress is low, which means you will not tackle frigates/cloaky's if they don't **** up.

Anyway, i would still pick a Pilgrim. Cloak is so handy to have when hunting.

I like the cruor better than the ash. The problem with the ash is it gives you nothing that you can't do better with other ships in its class. The cruor and belighorn do how ever provide unique advantages.

But there is still 2 things i haven't tryed out with an ashie, 1) all NOS and duel rep's, and 2) a no gun load out.

1) its little brother the Cruor can be made in to one hell of a fast locking ultra heavy tackler, with NOS, duel rep, rigs for lock time and some ok skills i can run all the mods at 2% cap stable Big smile witch make the NOS eat cap. Don't know if that will work yet on the ashie thoCry most likely not as its scann res and speed are real low

2) I guess on paper it will nuet harder than a cures just bearly with max skills and all nuets/nuet drones. but then it has to get to 10k to do it. Its just not like the bell which has the advantage of being the only ship that can use and bonus large nuet's

Set up a sell order for the Ashimmu if you make it: don't fill the buy orders that are on market as they are intentionally set low to profit from people selling items without researching.

Also, set up the sell order in a highsec station, as long as it's in the same region as a trade hub.

Like the Cruor, the Ashimmu is a great ship on paper, but suffers due to the fact it draws fire like a boss because of its price tag. It being a heavy armor tanker doesn't really help much with survivability.

Well for me at least the Cruor has proven to work very well. Its only real glaring flaw is its DPS. But in the roll of tackle I only fear top tier DPS friggs and some dessie's. And from what I've seen it's size Gives it the edge, and edge the ashie dose not have....

On the other hand I've only ever seen ashie's die and have never really worry one I see one on the field.

I often wonder if if the Ashie would be better served with both of its bonuses as range and moving its stats to trying and favor kiting. It would then be Crour-+webb/+Nuet, Ashie range-webb/range-nuet, Bell range-webb/ +nuet. Giving you more of a spread with in the multi Ewar/suppression roll.
