Im new to the Tengu and am likely to train it, I read that someone was using a Covert Ops Cloak on their Tengu, I thought that was only for Stealth Bombers and Blockade Runners?

Do you use Covert Ops cloak in your Tengu? If so, what are the pros and cons?

Yes it can when using a covert ops offensive subsystem.

All t3 cruisers are made up of different subsystems which determine a lot of their bonuses and base stats. With a certain configuration the Tengu, like all T3 cruisers, can fit a covops cloak - but they sacrifice offensive ability to do it.

Actually it's only blockade runners that can use them - deep space transports can't.

There's a lot of cloacky Tengus around Asakai and Hasmijala. And yes it is cloack that helps them survive the gate camps.

There was a gate camp I came through once in an SB, but they actually activated the Warp Bubble the instant I started to warp and recloak, I didnt survive that one Sad

Yes It can fit a covert ops cloak but don't expect to win any dps games, you can however fit one hell of a large tank on it. Loki will do you better if your just training it for the covert ops though.

Tengu (like all t3s) has the ability to fit a subsystem that makes it immune to warp disruption bubbles.

That or a Proteus. Cloaky Loki has uses, but for simple ganks the Proteus wins hands down.

What subsystem is that>? This thread is making the Tengu more and more interesting actually.

Interdiction Nullifier. Navigation sub.

Note that it only helps with non-targeted warp scrambling (bubbles and HIC bubbles).

For a tengu it would be Tengu Propulsion - Interdiction Nullifier
