Is there any such thing as a laid back 0.0 corp?

Every time I get talked into joining a 0.0 alliance, and it always sounds like it will be fun, I get told how laid back everyone is...and I make sure to tell everyone I'm not interested in constant demands (an occasional CTA is alright but I ******* hate when it's all the time). I'm always told I'll fit in fine and there's no obligations blah blah...

Then I join, spend all my ISK moving out to 0.0 (it's not cheap), and spend the next two months looking for a way out as I get innundated with corp mails demanding everyone be here or there or in this fleet or that. Step away for the weekend to go do something else besides play EvE (yes, I do that) and come back to demands that I be in some remote location by Monday or "HEADS WILL ROLL!!!"

This is not "laid back".

So ******* sick of it. So sick of it I don't even want to log on anymore. I like EvE, I think, but I just hate this ****.

Seems the only place for a non-poopsock is to sit in hisec and be bored forever.

Yes, there is. You just have to look hard or be very lucky.

"Look hard" for a corporation...I believe people are genuinely serious when they say that.
How many of us were going to be astronauts when we "grow up?"

It takes alot of manpower and coordination for an alliance to survive in null sec.. My alliance is pretty damn laid back, i get alot of emails about being at place A to shoot at target B and to bring C,D and E types of ships... But i either just ignore those mails or i attend if i feel like it. Cant say anyone has ever said anything about it since i joined them.

Before hand i was in the NC with FCON and that was just bloody stupid.. Stupid amount of CTA's and they once had a mining CTA lol wtf who calls a mining CTA? I got grief for not showing up to those i laughed at them then quit and found my current corp and we hop in and out of alliances that suit us. Or we do our own thing or move into a WH.

Brick Squad is by far the most layed back alliance iv ever been with anyways.

Just depends really, if your the type that believes everyone in the CFC are ebil scamming barstuards then you will probably not ever find one. Thing is, if you want the benefits of a successful nullsec force, then you need to be prepared to be part of that force to get the benefits, they dont come free.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

Oh yeah, I hear IRC has these level 5 CTAs whenever we come around, which we do because they have level 5 CTAs when we come around. So that might not be for you.

I'd suggest considering low sec pirate corps.

You nearly have sov, can shoot who you want, decent money making opportunities.

Or wh space, there nobody gives a ****.

"Laid Back" is relative. A laid back Null corp is very different than a laid back empire corp.

Lots of great Null Corps out there who are relatively laid back, and by that I mean they are not arm-chair admirals who want to control you every login moment.

However, if you want to have a good time in your corner of Null, then you need to be prepared to defend it, and its hard to be "laid back" in an Empire Corp sense when you are at war. Its hard work to maintain, but worth the rewards. It all depends on what you want.

There are, but first and foremost, look for a npc nullsec corp. Easiest way to be rid of the BS is to be rid of the sov warfare. For the casual player, it is more hassle. The must be on CTA, well, if you are not there, you are not there. That is usually alliance more than the corporation. I love my corp, they understand RL and if cannot be there, nothing I can do. Mind you it does have negative, and is affected by corporation activity like everything else.

Recommendation, first off, find a non sov corp

Second, only move with you what you need. Don't bother with stuff you are afraid to leave behind. If you gotta move, just sell it. Myself, If we have to move, only a couple carrier runs and I am done. Anything else can be left behind.

To quote Lfod Shi

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

0.0 Alliance's that do not defend their space, are called highsec Alliances....

I second the NPC nullsec advice.

Sovereignty introduces allot of serious business into our internet spaceships.
An alliance needs reach a critical mass of active PVPers to maintain sovereignty without a bunch of CTAs all the time.

oh yeah if you get frequent mails with "WE ARE A PVP CORP/ALLIANCE" all caps...

...you are not in one, and should bail.

Who is but the form following the function of what, and what he is, is a man behind an alt. I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking an alt who he is.

You know what I was getting at P. I was merely asking because I happened to receive a corp mail requesting my presence in a certain area using the same verbiage as the OP.

Null Sec is about Sov. Alliances either have it or want it. It's a massive, life sucking time sink.

Knowing that, you can avoid it or not.
