2. Ganking
ok so goonie swoops in with 3 tornados, kills my 2 hulks, and almost gets the orca befoee concord gets there right? well how about if your in a fleet, or a corp for that matter if you get suiced ganked anyone can now attack the attacker. Only makes since right? and to even up the mechanic of suiced ganking, how about if you kill my hulk, i can hunt you down and attack you until i kill you once. Seems fair, eye for an eye. Now you might say, well wtf is a carebare gonna do 2 me. Well how about this everyone in the fleet/corp attacked in high sec can also hunt a person down who did the ganking, So now carebares could go out and hire mercs to be in the fleet with them and protect them. it only makes since, kinda like a sheep dog protecting the herd. Am i wrong on this? tbh ive never mined outside of high sec, and ive never mined in a fleet with a protecter, but im pretty sure in high sec if someone in a raven was in the fleet he/she couldnt attack the gangkers concord would have to finsih them off. To me chaning this rule would stop hulkageddon, or make it harder goons would still get actrion, bears would feel safer everyones happy right?

as soon as the ganker starts attacking you anyone can kill him for 15min without CONCORD interference (GCC).

the victim (but not the other fleet members) also gets the right to kill him for 1 month without CONCORD interference (kill rights).

I'm more of a casual pvp'er and mostly carebear... But I have a raging hardon for some members of the swarm right now. Can we be friends?

Came expecting someone to have floated a cunning plan involving huge numbers of high sec folks in frigates and cruisers using compentent FC's and GSFs null sec enemies as allies to zergrush GSF space, left disappointed.

Which is a shame really, because that's content.

So he basically wants to play pac-man but take away all the bad evil ghosts so he can eat dots in peace. You gotta be kidding me. Someone suicide gank (INGAME) the OP and free him from his slavish useless unsatisfying existence.

Reward Pool anyone? If putting up a communal reward for suicide ganking someones spacepixels isn't considered griefing I'll start it off with 10 million isk. <-- needs clarification please, preferably by a DEV.

Dear OP,

the experience you have made is part of EVE's learning curve. It is a hard learning curve, because part of what it teaches you is anger management. Yes, that is right: anger management. The point is that even under heavy attack and in a loosing situation you need to stay calm, smart and on top of the situation.

Everyone fails the first time. Neo did not ask for a bridge there either, did he?

What you should have learned from the can flipper is that you need to leave your ore to him. He steals it, because he is stronger, has no fear and because he can.

I now stand corrected. To be honest i have never been ganked so i didnt know how it worked. However now that i know high sec can bascially be deffended, i really dont see the problem with hulkageddon.
On a side note this hulkageddon thing as made me move out of my asteroid belts, and fire up my battleship. So far this endevor is getting quite boring, any ideas on how to spice it up? other then scanning for pirates? :( id like to leave my bubble but its hard. And as far as jita burn goes.. isnt jita only a trade hub b/c we made it that way? ccp didnt make it did they? O and on the super high sec, i really think a small noob area where they cant get killed, is fine... why whould us older players care if some week old player can safely mine veldspar in his bantam? or gasp even an osprey... or maybe even have special mission belts if someone wants 2 mine that you have to be on the mission 2 warp 2?

This may in fact be one of the coolest noobs in the game. Someone need to recruit him to the CFC, STAT. Cool

You can always join Fractured Core Pub for some hot nullsec recruiting action(we sometime take miners, and you sound like you are ready for some pvp Pirate)

You can mine in missions once you have cleared them (but do not complete them with the agent). You can then take your mining ship into the mission pockets and mine the ore there. Some missions allow for a 6h bonus time and have quite a lot of ore in them. You can mine into cans (max 2h for a can), bookmark them and complete the mission. Then you pick them up by warping to your bookmark.

Or you start with exploration, scan systems for gravimetric sites, which are hidden belts often with special ore including low-sec ore like Jaspet and mine them.

Gankers can find you everywhere though. They often do not take the effort of scanning for you but simply look into the standard asteroid belts as this is faster for them and gives them plenty to gank.

Just think for a minute about the implications for abuse by the Goons if there was a place where THEY could not be fired at.

NOT a good idea at all.
