What does a survey scanner do that is better than the overview?

Show the exact amount of ore in 'roids within range...

That way you can pick a rock that will fill your cargo or go one cycle...

Stops you from mining a roid that has only 25m3 left in it for a full cycle

There is no such thing as a fair fight...

If your fighting fair you have automatically put yourself at a disadvantage.

Strip miners have a long ass cycle. They dont pull ore untill the end of a cycle. With out the survey scanner you could potentially blow a cycle on 5m3 of rock when you could be pulling 3000m3.

You can see how that would get annoying.
