What happened to the UI sounds?

So apparently CCP decided to get rid of the old UI sounds for some unfathomable reason. The new ones are barely audible even with my volume at max, and even when you can hear them, they sound like crap by comparison.

Why fix what isn't broken? I want my satisfying beeps and blorps back CCP!

They need to revert the sounds. UI is tactile and taking away from that makes me push buttons and feel like I didn't push it.

Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX

I've spend about an hour trying to figure out why my sound was broken. Turned out, it was an upgrade. I want my sound for pushing buttons back! Or at least update the current ones so we can hear them.

I've liked the new UI sounds ever since they were on Sisi a few weeks ago, which of course is an excellent place to preview a build and ask or speak out about changes (Seriously, they do listen to feedback).

Anyway, it sounds a lot sharper and it's nice that the basics are also getting attention. Strange that you can't hear it, on my client the new sounds are as audible as the previous. Might want to check your sound driver settings or it could be a bug, in which case... bug report?

Something is wrong with your sound, if not get your hearing checked

They are much quieter for me too, the sounds itself are better... except d-scan :o I miss my cheapo sonargeiger

The sound while hovering through a rightclick-menu is barely noticable,
even at 100% volume ... and i miss the ack-noise when clicking.

I don't mind the new plink sounds for pressing UI buttons but they're very very quiet for me as well, everything else is fine. I've tried increasing the UI sounds in the ESC settings but they're barely audible while all other sounds are as they were.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

The new sounds are very quiet for me too. I have 5.1 surround perhaps that is part of the volume issue.

I hate that new beep sound if you hover over the right click menus..
