Liquid Feedback is the key to your interest of getting valuable feedback from Players!

If you dunno, what it does, I suggest to google!

One of the topics for this summit will be potential changes to the CSM white paper, including but not limited to changing or eliminating officer positions and improving the election system.\0/ Big smile This should be a process that includes everyone, and we will be looking for lots of feedback from the entire EVE community.

CCP has always been a reactive establishment, requiring vast abuse/overuse to react to any issue. But I guess so is any government and so is any evolutionary process. It was good to read this and it is good to see CCP still out there tweaking the way things work for the greater good of their game and everyone who plays it.

One thing that CSM 7 will be doing differently than past CSMs is directly communicating with the players as much as possible. That communication will be taking place in many different mediums, including in-game chats using EVE-voice, EVE Mail, CSM member blogs and Twitter accounts, posting on the official forums and many more.

Fanfreakintastic! Not only is more communication central to improvement, but I sense a certain "they will be compelled to act more like adults and take responsibility for their interactions with the playerbase" hidden in the undertone of this post. I strongly suspect that we can expect to see an end to the days where CSM's are trolling people on CCP's official forums, which is very good for RL business.

We look forward to your comments and suggestions about how to make the CSM a better advocate for the interests of the community.

And the player base will happily be giving it. In the past year or two we have seen meta gaming climb its way to new heights in the exploitation of the CSM chair. No one could have anticipated how much ingame rivalries and agendas could begin to permeate CCP's real world organization. It is good to see them respond to overuse and abuse in RL just as they do in game. CSM 7 will be remembered for all time as the CSM where CCP returned the counsel of stellar management back to their playerbase. After the Jita burn fizzles out and the goons are done with there luls on the forums (which may take a year or so TBH) perhaps we can all calm down and thank the Mitanni for what he has done.

He, and he alone, by taking the sheer asshattery that he displays in game into real life, and broadcasting it world wide, has managed to give the CSM back to all the carebears, empire dwellers, solo PVP'ers, Wardecers, WH residence, and Low Sec players of New Eden. The non-nullsec playerbase who consists of the true majority of individual subscription holders. This may be his greatest act, one overshadowed by "spymaster metafame" and "Burn Jita curiosity". He would have inspired the CSM to treat all players new and old with respect, he, the great Mitanni, would have made it so both CCP and the CSM have no choice but to listen to the majority population of non-nllsec account holders. This may turn out the be the greatest change to EVE Online since the institution of capital ships, only time will tell.

Mitanni, we could not have done it without you! So thx.
Signed, a member of the non-nullsec dwelling majority eagerly looking forward to influencing the game.

Greetings and gratz.

I wholeheartedly commend your intention to communicate with the majority of the player base and present their concerns, needs and desires to CCP. Just remember, the majority of the player base is not here in the forums or on twitter. They are located in-game and not just in null security Alliances.

Unfortunately, there's a really bad stigma associated with the CSM for quite a while now. It will take a lot of work on your part to remove it.

I wish you all good luck and much success.

Good. Any communication will be an improvement over CSM6.

In regards to the summit meeting minutes: Will this years' CSM actually make sure to write down who said what, instead of last years "the CSM think" bullshit.

Heh, tiz an interesting read :) Some of it is a little limited in scope, but I think it does honestly make some very good points on some of the issues with Eve.

Personally I'd expand his dislike of high sec care bears to jump freighters, the increased use of carriers for personal logistics, nullified t3s and pretty much everything else that has damaged "sandbox" style PvP in Eve. There is a trade off between making life easier for everyone, and killing off non-consensual PvP, personally I think the balance in that respect has swung too far in one direction.

Good to see that as the community needs more open discussions with the CSM.

Time to start pushing the tech moon nerf (r32 alchemy) me thinks.

Its been a problem for quite some time and needs fixing. The goons have now brought it to the forefront of discussion I'm sure.

The technetium bottleneck is the major reason the nullsec endgame sucks so much.

I think the bottleneck is a major cause of super capital proliferation as well.

Its a double whammy and needs to be fixed sooner rather than later.

r32 alchemy should help bandage the situation and then something like ring mining could offer the final solution to the problem.

CCP has known about this problem for quite some time and I don't know why they haven't implemented some kind of fix yet other than the possibility of favoritism.

It's the new, improved whiter-than-whitewash CSM, now 100% less effective!

Well, either way I guess we'll see how they do. Given how terrible CSM 5 was, I don't have my hopes up.

It's pretty amusing though, while mittens was CSM these kinds of threads generated some interest. Now it's reached two pages after a week, and most of the posts haven't had anything to do with whatever the hell it was the CSM message was about.

1) There is no reason not to have officers. They make the work of running a committee much easier.

2) There is no reason to have any officers elected by popular vote. They serve in roles that require particular talents. Any freshly elected CSM should elect their officers exactly the way that this one did.

I'm looking forward to seeing what this CSM accomplishes.

Judge by the posters' content and not by the label associated with their name.

Posts that present viable ideas, depth of experience and wisdom hold value no matter who types them.

It will be interesting to see the general player participation once the CSM reaches out to the broader playerbase via EVE Voice and other in-game methods. Mittens vocal following (CFC) are unabated forum whores and naturally would make a big impression on the EVE-O forums.

I was looking for CSM replies to threads. In this particular case, to ask about FW and Datacores, but there will be many other topics wherein we'd like to know what the CSM's input would be.
