Now I hope we know when its coming out i tried to find out from future shop and other places and no 1 has a release date WHY is that?????
thanks everyone.

I have a Beta Code from fanfest but when I go to the site on the card it says the Beta Registration will begin soon. Am I missing something?

hey, navigator, if you give me a beta key, i do solemnly swear not to leak any of the info i gleam from it, so, um how long until i can expect my invite? do we need a bible, or a plex to put my hand on for my oath to be binding?

PS3/PSN+ players that get into BETAs have no idea how to spell NDA much less what it means.

The whining in this thread ... Roll
@CCP - next time you send out beta keys include trojan that installs as well to keep track of all texts containing the ttitle of the game in beta. That way only the guilty will be addressed.Twisted

Of course, then the whiners would blame their children, nephew or cats ...

Sorry m8 but you got the wrong forum. This is Eve Online; not Dust 514.

And I think it is safe to say that your beta testers on the SONY network don't come on here to read about the NDA agreement.

Better to have given it to Eve players first so you could have linked it to their eve account and brought much more meaningful consequences. lol

Just food for thought.

I heard DUST514 is related to EVE, like it's done by the same company or something.

I don't get it, why are you posting this here CCP.

I guess next you'll post EVE patchnotes on the WoW forums?

Problem with that logic is that, as far as we know, no EVE Online players actually have access to DUST 514 at this time as SONY handed out 5000 beta keys to random PSN members, not EVE Online players.

Statistically, Navigator might have gotten his message across to a couple EVE Online players that happen to be PSN members that happened to get beta keys. A few more hardcore Dust 514 fans that play EVE might have bought keys off of PSN members.

But the reality is, if you go out and look at the leaked content (not that I would ever! Roll) it's very obvious that the people breaking the NDA are not EVE Online players.

What difference does that make? EVE players will be getting access to DUST in the near future, and the NDA is going to be just as relevant then as it is right now. We're pre-emptively warned this way.

Everyone is pre-emptively warned when they are presented with the NDA, so that's a moot point.

Except that apparently a lot of people were just like "BLABLABLASCROLLSCROLL YES I HAVE READ THE TERMS AND BLOODY CONDITIONS YAWN GO AWAY BORING LEGAL STUFF I WANT TO BLOW S**T UP"

Which, I mean sure there's a good argument for letting natural selection take its course here, but it's only fair to give people a second clear message and ultimatum about this stuff. Especially seeing as CCP don't want the NDA to be breached. The more different places and formats you present information in, the more likely it is that people will actually get the message.

I'd LOVE to hear you explain how people ignoring a legal warning and breaking contract is the company's fault.

NDA's have a lot of bark and pretty much no bite in all seriousness, especially in the gaming world against the individual player. If it's a blog/news website they will get a cease and desist but to the individual sharing info anonymously, there is nothing they can really do about.

This is a just sayin' sort of thing, I don't break NDA's ;)

You seem to be missing the point. I, if not most of us here, are not saying that it's CCP's fault, simply that they were addressing the wrong audience. The Dust 514 keys have gone out, but typically when a closed Beta is started, attention is brought to the NDA, with the understanding that breaching the NDA has consequences for future play. Generally fans are more likely to respect an NDA than people who don't care about the game (and have little reason to care if they get banned). The people who broke the NDA obviously didn't care about it and obviously weren't fans.

It's simply that it seems the first place CCP decided to "remind" everyone about the NDA was here, on a forum, where virtually nobody had a beta key because the first keys were handed out to random uncaring nobodies instead of the dedicated fanbase.

This could have been handled more tactfully. In any case, it's pretty much a moot point now that the FanFest attendees finally have access to the beta, but this thread did leave a bitter taste in many a mouth of CCP's most dedicated.
