Well which ones do you use to move your POS fuel around ?

I am talking about the fuel - not the Stealthy Freighter used to move around valuable stuff :)

We personally use Freighters to get it to the LS Bridge, then Orcas to run it in.

JF in rare emergencies. Blockade Runners as well.

If you have the route scoped out even half-way carefully, then a T1 Industrial is quiet functional, usually with a cloak in the high slot just in case. A DST is better, I suppose, but not really required most of the time. The +2 warp stab is nice for anything but a HIC, and if you set it up for a MWD in the mids, you have the potential to escape a solo HIC before it pops you.

Orca is great if you are only making one or two runs, but you can hurt you wh in a hurry (depending on its class) and it is a lumbering beast besides.

If there are known (and organized) hostiles, a BR is the only way to go.

1. Flip highsec doors until local is empty, or you're close to where your stuff is.

Most of my w-space time has been in systems where the wormholes wouldn't admit freighters, so ...
- Freighter the fuel to the empire access system (or a nearby hisec if lowsec section too troubling). I'd planned to JF into lowsec connections ... but we still copying/inventing for that BP.
- Top-tier T1 hauler from there into w-system.


Sometimes I'd used an orca if i also wanted to move some ships in or out, and sometimes blockade runner when the fuel situation had become dire and i did not have decent access routes. Only once used Deep Space Transport for this ... it's slightly greater cargo volume was nice, the +2 warp was a little reassuring, but it seemed quite a bit slower to align and warp.

I'd be running mammoths loaded full of (P4) PI products out of the system, and they'd be coming back in full of fuel and other resupply. It wasn't common for a mammoth to be going anywhere, except to a PI planet, empty.

In all those mammoth jumps, possibly thousands of them (gulp!!), I lost one resupply hauler ... in a chance meeting at a C4-C2 wormhole.

My mammoths weren't setup at all special. Rigged and lowslots for cargo volume, a prop mod and some ECM (prolly only useful psychologically) in mids, and a cloak in the highs.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Freighter to the HS entry point, Mammoths from there on. Preferably with an escort. Never lost one. Yet......Blink
Of course, intel is everything, you have to make sure the route is (more or less) safe.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......
