Jita Park Speakers Corner

April 27, Goonswarm and their allies will descend upon Jita for a weekend of carnage to demonstrate their power by conducting what most expect to be a historic campaign to blockade empire's largest and most famous trade hub via targeted suicide ganking against freighters and random suicide ganks against everyone else. The motivations behind this are diverse but ultimately boil down to three things: It will be funny, empire is ****, and no one can stop us.

But empire players are not without a shield. Not a shield built of manipulating the cost of empire combat to shelter them from the game and not a shield of CCP removing non-consensual PVP from EVE. Running for CSM, I often said player problems should have player solutions. I told empire voters that if someone war decs you, they can shoot you but you can organize and shoot them back if the mechanic provides a level playing field. Likewise, 0.0 can to come into empire and try to impose their will and empire can fight back to make them pay for their hubris.

And so it begins.

Noir. and Moar Tears will lead the charge against the CFC, accompanied by empire's most familiar faces like The Orphanage, Red vs. Blue, and many more who are decing Goons/TEST or will be patrolling gates for suicide alts. These groups know empire is more than just a place for carebears, isolationists, and cowards and are willing to put their ships on the line to prove it. This isn't about victory, it's about defiance.

Goonswarm and the CFC have the numbers, they have the tech cartel ISK, they have the organization, they have over 9000 Tornadoes and Thrashers at the ready. Bring it all, every last pet and every last Rifter. Goons, Clusterf*ck: You are coming for tears. We are coming for you.

Aleks, isn't this sort of thing meant to be in one of the other forums? Like the GD or COAD?

This forum is for people to bring there ideas and issues to the CSM is it not?

It's also for CSMs to communicate back to the players. As a candidate, i talked loudly about sandbox and the place of the war dec system in it. There's also a lot ot interest in players in the highsec vs 0.0 dynamic both in the game and on the council. Burn Jita and Save Jita were great examples of this.

I will admit to adding a dramatic flare. Wouldn't want war to seem boring..

You guys have really come into your own TBH and done quite well against your past few war decs. I'm sad that you guys didn't participate in the event as well. I think you could have done a lot of damage.
