Should be like containers; expires after 2 months of being anchored, un-visisted, and offline.

I'm against this. Towers should remain as they are. If you don't like 'em - you can always shoot 'em!

With tier 3 BC's now, shooting offline towers is a breeze in lower class wormholes. In higher end w-space, call in a dread.

Ping the offline tower with a few shots; the owner will get mail. Sometimes they may even be subbed and will convo you and you can learn the sordid tale of woe of that derelict tower. Personally, I like seeing them around, as grave markers of failed excursions.

Many things wrong with offlined POS that I hope will be fixed when they update them.

Like shields up and those shields regenerating.

Normal space abandoned POS being infested by rogue drones.
w-space abandoned (or online) POS attracting sleepers to attack it.

Sorry mate, going to have to dislike this idea. What reason do YOU have for wanting an unfueled POS to just disappear? Other than so you can use the moon and not have to take the time to destroy it.

If you can't find means to remove the POS from the moon, I dont feel you deserve the moon.

Just my .02 though.

I've never wanted a moon for a POS. I'm just fed up with seeing so many nonfaction guns & ewar littering space.

I understand some people like the "shabby chic" look, that's fair enough. But it just seems to me to be a waste. I'd like to see the POS recoverable. And make batteries more expensive so worthwhile to recover. It could be the start of another profession...

Degrade hull resistances 1% per week for offlined towers. You could explain it as though the backup power is draining. If the tower is onlined then the backup is recharged immediately and resistances go to back to 99%.
