Might want to reword your post or put that paragraph in quotes or something because I had no idea what this was about until I'd read it three times.

I'm still not sure if that's something a GM actually said or if you made it up (a fantasy perhaps?) Either way quoting a GM is against the Terms of Service AFAIK.

Wasn't short.. and not as sweet as I expected.

It leaves me with one question...
why on earth do people still think it is needed and/or a good idea to undock with a plex in their cargohold?

Since a PLEX can be redeemed from anywhere in EVE, why in the hell would you undock with it in your hold?

this is not a quote from a real GM

I was moving the plex to sell for a better rate

Oh and this is short compared to the multitude of other emails in the 1 petition out of two that I have

Assets, right click, redeem. Job done, anybody who moves a PLEX is a fool, anybody who moves a PLEX in an untanked noob ship is nearly as big a fool as this guy. As for getting a better price? Contracts, they're your friend.

Thank you, then this is simply a case of EVE working as intended. There is no reward without risk.

First thing I do when I invite people to try EVE is tell them how unforgiving it is. Seems your situation is a perfect example to your friend!

Let's say they include one option to redeem ISK as a reward for the buddy invite.

You go somewhere to spend the ISK and you are killed soon after because whatever.

I always put my guy where the plex needs to be THEN redeem in there. putting it in a ship is stupid... no offense
