The goons are what eve is supposed to be

A bunch of players coming together. Building an empire and leaving a lasting mark on the game. And having the option to do it peacefully, through war or through behind the scenes actions.

This is the entire reason anyone plays eve. ever.

To acquire money and power, however the means.

Yup best thing Goons could do for the game is unsub in protest.
Not just cause it would get them out of the game either.

If you think about it, thats both the best and the worst thing they could do. They wanna break EVE? Unsub in protest over and over. On every issue. wont be too amazingly long before CCP is too scared to make changes in their own game.

Short term yes, long term no. A ~3% drop in active subs[1] would probably freak out the CCP business managers. However, a Goon withdrawal would create a huge power vacuum that folks would rush to fill, which could make the game fun with a Wild West style land rush and thus encourage people (and their friends) to sub.

More importantly, CCP could decide to buffer themselves against such organized mass unsubs by adding bunches of high-sec PvE features to grab more casual players to protect against such sub losses, for better or worse. So yeah, Goons unsubbing could "destroy" the game by increasing the Carebear Quotient and by creating a Carebear focused mindset in CCP, but I doubt they could actually deal a crippling wound, much less a fatal one.

[1] Assuming that the ~10,000 CSM votes is a decent approximation of the number of active Goon accounts.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

I've seen the Goons operate in a couple other games. In each case, the management stepped in, and the Goons left. EvE might actually be different though, you never know. I am presuming that those other Goons are the same Goons we have here, at least in their philosophy of ruining the game...which was definitely their stated goal in those other games. It's all entertaining from a player perspective, but it doesn't generate subscriptions, and might be negative in that regard. No game company has ever stepped up and published what the "Goon Effect" was with regard to their game's popularity. I know that in WWII Online, it pissed off quite a few commanders (guild leaders), when their "secret" ops were exposed to the enemy. Their behavior does tend to illuminate problems with game mechanics in some cases though.

So CCP stopped the ice interdiction?

Oh wait no...

So they outlawed Hulkageddon right?

huh, wrong again...

So theyve decided theyre banning anyone involved in Burn Jita?

Theyre said theyre "doing nothing"

I think youre premise is flawed...

1. No ice for you, it's a sandbox
2. No Hulk for you, it's a sandbox
3. No Jita for you, it's a sandbox

If the miners are totally miserable because they keep getting ganked and do not learn to do something else besides mine, or change their way of mining, then it's on them.

In a way, all three of your rants are based on the industrialists and miners. Apparently the Goons love miners and want to play with them endlessly. It will take an epic response from the miners to communicate a change need to CCP. Once all the miners stop mining, and the mineral prices skyrocket past the speculators dreams, then maybe - just maybe - CCP will step in and make some changes. Miners have more power to affect EVE then the Goons could ever dream. However, there is no leadership or consensuses on how to implement to playing the sandbox using the Goon's proven strategy. Be that as it may with all the tears from miners on the forums, the Goons have proven that their method works, despite the madness.

None of these are outside teh EULA

and ALL OF THESE had and will continue to have and lasting impact on the game.

No, not really.

The Goons are actually pretty honest about what they want to do with EVE Online - have fun at the expense of others and ruin the game as thoroughly as they can manage. And, you know, I don't like that goal one bit, but I can (sort of?) respect the honesty of flat-out stating that. Trying to pass it off as "Goons care about EVE!" is actually kind of disingenuous.

Why would we ruin the game we love?

No, ask yourself this: Who is ruining eve more?

* Botters destroying the economy via nearly free Ice and Minerals.
* Idiots who completely refuse to grasp the concept of a Sandbox MMO and want the game to be turned into WOW in Space.
* A successful PVP alliance who, other than screwing with #1 (Ice Interdiction) and #2 (Jita Holocaust), stay mostly in Nullsec.

Hint: It's not 3. I'm torn on if it's 1 or 2; 1 is clearly bad (botting leads to a situation where you have to bot to keep up with the botters) but 2 is far more insidious.

I'd go with #1, with #2 as a close second

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
