The best way to fix inflation (Micro isk Transactions)

I believe the best way to deal with inflation is to find sinks that every player has to constantly manage and pay.

For example ships: Ships require fuel and maintenence to keep running. Now have these fuel and parts required by maintenance be only produced by NPC's.

Every ship will now have a compartment like a fuel bay to keep their ships running.

With every single player flying ships this will become an isk sink for them, they won't have the reservations of paying for it when they have to do so in order for their ship to keep flying.

Without fuel and parts the ship will simply stop working. It cannot navigate, its cpu and powergrid are off. If they get stuck in space an emergency beacon will be sent where Concord transports them to the repair and logistics station of the player's choosing.

This will require a fee that the player must pay, if he cannot pay, he will have to do a mission or two assigned to him. These very easy missions that require no brains to do, but they take time to do.

Only rookie ships, capsules, and shuttles will no require fuel.

As a result every player in EVE will be required to pay isk to continue their ventures of space and quickly causing the excess of isk to be trimmed down to manageable levels.

You will pay a fee. But if you don't have the isk you WILL have to do the missions.

How about something that isn't just a pointless annoyance for everyone and detrimental to the enjoyment people get from the game?

Oh but it isn't pointless. It serves to keep isk spiraling out of control. Isk under control ensures enjoyment.

You can criticize it, but imagine the amount of isk it would take out of the economy. With lowered supply, the value of isk will be greater. Creating a higher buying power.

So nerf to everyone that doesn't mission.

yeah, that sounds great.

As long as all of the ISK goes directly to my wallet I'm fine with it.

How does this differ from regular missions\incursions?

Your idea is terrible.

A better idea would be to make faction ships\mods outlawed in high sec and only use able in 0.0 (this is an absolutly hideous idea only inserted for comparison of how bad an idea your idea is)

The inflation this is a somewhat complex issue that's basically been caused by the mission\incursion bears not losing ship so not spending isk to replace them. The removal of mining bots, removal of drone poop and groups of people unwilling to go and shoot at stuff that has emotions\neck beards.

This would just be a massive pain in the ass.

I admit it would be hilarious the first time a supercap goes down because someone forgot to fuel it.

I can't believe I'm saying this but WIdot might actually be out of your league. Try Test instead.

If its not broke dont fix it, the market was fine ppl was actually playing the game and enjoying it and you ruined it for a major part of eve, incursions will be ghost towns now and everyone will either move to a WH or 0.0

Why do we need to fix inflation? Its a normal occurance in any free economy. The only reason there has been a lot of inflation recently is because of:
1. Lots of bots being banned
2. Removal of drone alloys and associated speculation
3. Hulkageddon comming up so people are hording minerals and ships (I know im hording destroyers to sell at the inflated price)

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

Fuel is not the way to go, it would just annoy most people in the end. Take Mass Effect 2 where you had to keep refueling, you could argue it added an element of RP but in terms of adding any real value to the game it did not work as it just meant you had to do a repetitive task mainly for the sake of doing that task.

Add a pay per use toilet to the captains quarters.

Problem solved, I know, I know I'm a big freakin' genius.

What ISK inflation If you are talking about? Tthe inflation of items since March 11th? That is due to the annoucement of minerals being removed from drones etc and tech 1 guns from missions where people mass bought minerals to hopefully sell for a profit

The cost is influenced by the market itself and the only people who do not benefit from market prices are mission runners who do not salvage

Plus eve has the best mechanic for removal of ISK... it's called shooting each other and things going boom....

But again it doesn't effect mission runners who know the basics So your arguments is well.... stupid?

Don't nerf ISK, nerf the OP

Bad posting is bad umkay

Inflation is not a problem, as others have said a combination of bots being banned, hulkajitageddon/prepatch speculation and general greed (yes I'm guilty of the last 2) are the causes of things like current plex prices. Things will even out eventually, it's the nature of an open marketplace

Fuel for my ships? sod that I have an Improbability drive fitted. Blink

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
