Do drones drop loot yet? Or does that come later?

Heard of the recent drone changes w/ bounty and loot and wanted to try killing them and see what they gave. Killed about 15-20 Drone Rulers (BS drones with 1.25 mil bounties) in some backwater 0.0 system I managed to find via wormhole, but none dropped any loot.

Is the loot supposed to come when the main patch hits? Or is it just rarer drops?

Anyone manage to get anything for themselves?

Edit - Turns out drones were not supposed to drop loot in the first place. Makes this thread pretty moot Smile.

Didn't think they had loot. Just bounties now..

From patch notes: All common Rogue Drones will no longer drop alloys and will instead have bounties in line with other NPCs.

They said they won't be dropping loot, unless they decide later on that they need to drop loot.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Oh! Well that would explain that. Thanks for the clarification guys.

I suppose Drone sites via exploration still aren't worth it then, despite the bounties.

Not necessarily; if the "commander" drones have a REALLY high bounty AND drop a overseer's personal effects they could be a more moderate way of accumulating wealth (as opposed to the feast or famine of pirate complexes).

Nope. Drone plexes and missions used to be among the best because of the alloys drops. Especially in the last couple weeks because of ore price spikes. Now...not so much.
