Links on the launcher screen still no workie

The links on the launcher screen have not worked since the launcher launched. Any ideas when this will be fixed? It's insignificant to game play but make managing out of game issues pretty handy. I also think not fixing the first thing a player sees after clicking on the desktop icon to start the game is tacky and a potential turnoff for new players interested in checking out Eve. Thanks.

Same issue here. None of the links in the launcher works. Clicking a link will open a new IE browser window, but with a blank address bar and blank window. I am running Win7 x64 Home ed with IE9.

EDIT:
Workaround: before launching the launcher, set a different browser as your default browser; ie Firefox or Chrome.
The launcher will now open the links in your new default browser and this works.
Apparently there is an issue with the launcher and IE9.
When done with the launcher, you could either reset your default browser to IE or just leave it the way it is.

FOR 6000+ players we can't even log in to the game after the every stupid patch eve breaks.

Then you should not be posting in this thread. This thread is about an issue in the launcher itself.

Well the content on the launcher screen updates ... but alas the links still don't work.

Hi,

The issue is twofold:

a) Incompatbility with Internet Explorer
b) The links open in the "wrong" browser (internet explorer)

Both of these have been resolved and I think the fix is included in the new Launcher version which is on Singularity right now, so go check it out.

Launcher started to open link in chrome once again in 1.31 version. Note that internet explorer is my principal browser.

Odd that links open correctly in IE once the game is launched. I would think the default browser on every installation of windows should be an indication that CCP should fix the incompatability with the launcher ... yesterday.

What is the "right" browser. Considering links from within the game, for example at the character selection screen, open in IE just fine.

Singularity is the test server right? How is the launcher on a test server going to fix the issue on the launcher used for Tranquility? Are you saying to somehow download the Singularity launcher and somehow install it to open up the released version of the game?

Since the update todat launcher version 1.31 the links still do not work.

The Launcher needs work-plain and simple. I tried to save some time tonight by exporting the patch that "worked" on my laptop and importing it to the desktop computer. Long story short, desktop is now running repair tool because patch failed. Also- links fromthe launcher have not worked since day one it came out. IE is the default browser on a LOT of people's computers. You would think that getting the launcher working correctly would be the first thing that gets worked on. I have alliance members that to this day can not use the launcher to even patch to latest version and have to use someone else's exported patch to even run the game. Please fix this ASAP. I would like to be able to check out the links from the launcher. At the very least add the ability to right click on the lin k and copy the url so we can launch a browser and check out the link manually.

Well, bit the bullet and updated my Singularity client. What do you know?? The links work from the SIsi Launcher 1.312 or something...but the Tranquility Launcher is still 1.31 and links do not work. When can we get the updated launcher on Tranquility??
