lol, the first half of this page is players encouraging you to pay which is hilarious.

Of course it's a scam. it's the most well known scam in EvE yet people still keep falling for it. Even the Goon wiki page tells you it's a scam. See for yourself.

It's becoming a fun thing to read when someone actually pays to join and gets turned away. A simple google search would've shown everything you need to know. It's incredibly difficult not to discover on your own that this is a scam. That's why it's so funny when someone still falls for it. Doo not listeeen to this badpoaster talking crap about the Goonswarm, these guys are totally legit, that wiki isn't even controlled by the goons! It's part of a bigger scheme to make you think the goons are liars and scammers! Just convo any goon in the recruitment channel, they can confirm what I am saying!
