Rapid way of assessing the value of stuff

Greetings,

Having recently joined a corp in and helping the guys by hauling their mission loot to a trade hub, paying in advance to help the junior members.

Is there a way to rapidly assess the value of their loot, pehaps via API? Looked around, didn't see anything.

take a look at jeveassets. http://eve.nikr.net/jeveasset

Bear in mind that the api for assets doesn't update as frequently as some.
