IS ccp removing all alloys from the game or simple stoping them from been drop. Because i have an decent number of alloy atm and some people believe that ccp are going justed remove them from the server i would like too know so i could avoid losing the alloys and so i could tell my allaince too refine them if ccp is just removing them from game

i have also tons but ccp would never just remove them from the game. that would create such an uproar, they couldn't handle it...

Question was asked in the original thread (if I recall correctly) and the answer was nothing was happening to the alloys other than they wouldn't drop any more so no need to panic refine.

Yes, just imagine if they would start deleting stuff like collector's items and blueprints right off the server, imagine the uproar....

And imagine if holders of such items would be accused by CCP of acquiring them in an "illicit" way.

Or you could just go read the original thread for your answer.

What will happen to the Rogue Drone alloys sat in peoples hangers? will they turn into Minerals on patch day? Just dissapear? or turn into rare items like some of those things out there you don't see often anymore?

Nothing will happen to them

Will alloys be a PI manufacturing item now?

What does one reprocess to get alloys? How do they get into the player circulation?

Alloys (for now) drop as loot from rougue drones, they are then refined into minerals - this annoys miners as you can get more minerals by shooting stuff than actually mining.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Sometimes when I post, I look at my sig and wish that I'd follow my own god damned advice.

Yes I know that, so the only source for this post patch is miners? What rocks is that gives the alloys? Are they low/null/wsec only or highsec too? Can the alloys be made from PI or reprocessing existing items?

Perhaps ( and i'm just making this up, but it looks feasible ) the alloys will be found in rings.

Rings are something CCP is working on ( if you've seen the 2012 fan fest video ), they are the rings around some planets and CCP is thinking about and working on something to mine those rings.
So perhaps the alloys will come from there in the future.

Again, I'm not sure, but it looks very much realistic to me.

Just another asteroid belt closer to the planet..

So RINGS as you put it, could be integrated with PI, and also thus forcing alloy miners to interact and risk with Dust. Otherwise it becomes another botting story in another belt around a planet.

If it is tied to planets, then it SHOULD be PI only, not ship mining. perhaps a PI ring miner activity installation.

They quite clearly stated at FanFest (and in the videos) that the Rings will more than likely be a source of Technetium to a degree.

They say NOTHING about alloys, which were a horrible mistake they are finally admitting.

Why do you insist on replying to something you know absolutely nothing about? you obviously haven't seen the video.

This man obviously did see the video ( or was at fan fest ).
However, they were not sure yet, what the ring mining would do, they are still debating it, so that's why i stated that it could be alloys even though it doesn't look like it now, it could still be feasible.

It's MOOT since Alloys are artificial and would not come from rings anyway.

I just wana know what the sources of Alloys are, i don't care how much knowledge you have or ego or what not.

How do they get into the market.

I would prefer they are a PI activity if they are not, I don't know.

I want no more risk-free mining or whatever. Everything should have a risk, nothing should be bottable for long periods or unattended for long periods of time.

When I see a ship or some activity in space, I want a PLAYER behind it. Where else would I get tears or any form of response?

They come from killing drones.

Players put their refined alloy minerals on the Market, not the alloys themselves.

You did ask.

I know they come from drones today.

I mean POST patch, they won't come from killing drones.

This thread is about the after PATCH, not today. *facepalm*

According to the back-story, these alloys are mined by the rogue drones, as a base material to build new rogue drones.
Humans however, have not yet found a way to mine these particular asteroids.

The asteroids that are mined, are sometimes seen in mission complexes, or gas cloud site's.

They look like giant split asteroids, with a blue, green, purple etc etc color crystal like substance inside

O and i don't have an ego, or claim to know better, you just responded in a way that looked like you knew better.

I know they come from drones, but that is the point of the patch, to change that.

Then RIngs was brought up as a Planet activity, so I suggested it should be PI integrated and thus take on the same risk as any PI with dust.

Rings is new to me, so it is natural to think, oh thats a PI activity. well, it should be really.
