How come the web site can remember my password but the client can't? Is the web browser which I use to log in to the forums safer than the eve-client?

Nothing says the client can't, it just doesn't.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

I'm sure CCP will add a "remember account info" checkbox at some point.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

Because of neutral reppers.

A professional astro-bastard was not available so they sent me.

It's a feature, not a bug.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

I thought it was because of falcon.

It probably should just be "Because of alts".

I heard you wanted miscellaneous programs to grab your uber-sekcret "password" password.

Ironic as it may sound but the "Remember me" checkboxes on account user/password fields are actually more likely to be forgotten. It may help the computer remember it but it increases the likeliness that YOU will forget it. Best way to remember your passwords, type them in every time yourself. The lazy option is also the most forgetful :)

It is a bad idea. Anyone who can access your computer can access your characters and touch you in place you do not want to be touched.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Keyloggers rejoice!

They truly hate sites, games, banks and anything else important that have a 'remember password ' option.

The client used to save the password, then someone figured out how to exctract that information using malware. Since then the client is suffering amnesia.

Well, it is already known by my web browser so saving it in EVE also would not make this any worse.

But I would really like to be able to use different password on forums (without needing to use forum alt.)

Quite useless as long as I am required to use same password on forums.

Been using remember password on WoT for well over a year now...

O snap no one has hacked my account!

I happen to know exactly how to get remote access to your pc ( if i wanted to, but i am civilized, so i don't ).
There are lots of people capable of doing that.

Edit: just because it has never happened to you ( yet at least ), doesn't mean it can't and i think CCP is very wise, not to implement such a feature for this reason, what you choose to do with your browser is a different story, but that's not something CCP has control over.
