Completing 0.0 exploration plexes solo

I've been probing out a lot of unrated and 8/10 plexes recently. More so than I can clear, seeing as I have been unable to solo them. I'm not accustomed to not being able to tank something, especially in my tengu. It's faction fit and tanks level 4s without even turning on hardeners.

Plexes are a different story, though. They pretty well all contain either stasis towers or elite frigates which bring me to a complete stop. I can't pop them fast enough to save my ship. To make matters worse, shooting a stasis tower aggros the entire pocket, which pretty much alphas me.

Has anyone been able to overcome these challenges in a T3 and how did you do so?

I'm in angel space. This is essentially my fit. The hardeners are swapped out to match expected damage types. For angel I would use a +55% explosive, and a couple invuls probably.

Grab yourself a deadspace medium shield booster and you'll do fine.
Personally, I use a Pithum C-type booster and have never had a problem with 8/10 plexes

Also, consider swapping that 4th BCS with a damage control to increase your chances of survival.

I'd lose one of the Invul's and the webifier. Fit a LSE, and a target painter. Lose the small repper and upgrade to a medium deadspace repper.

Appreciate the help, but neither answer really makes me feel good about putting another Tengu in to a plex. The Tengu I lost (In an Angel unrated unknown signature) literally got alphaed dead before I could finish locking on to the two frigs that had me warp scrambled.

This might seem like an odd suggestion, but maybe you should go on the test server, find the same site, and change the fits until you find one that is successful.

That's probably not a bad idea. The principal reason I haven't done so already is because I am recently reinstated from a long break (about two years) and my accounts are frozen on Sisi. In addition, I've sold a character and bought two characters off the character exchange and I'm not sure whether they'll get picked up until the next mirror.

Although i'm not one to comment on the tengu, it's probably the only ship in the game that can reasonably solo the 8/10 plexes (the one with the stasis tower and a billion ships in the final room).

Bring someone for that. The rest you should be fine.

So what DEDs or unrated plexes?

Was there a station that you shot in that unrated complex? I am trying to give some hints here as to what might have happened.

I have found out that the 10/10 Sansha centus TP assembly is easier than one of the 8/10 Sansha ded plexs. In my experience the 8/10 cannot be soloed with Tengu.

I had an Gist X type boost amp and a Pith X type booster 912 rep every 3.2 seconds and that 8/10 spanked me hardcore with around 90% reists for EM/Therm and had to warp out and my Tengu pilot is without doubt perfect. Level 5 on every tank skill, all missile related skills at 5

These days I run with the Tengu and a Scimi with the Scimi assigning drones to the Tengu Pilot for a little extra DPS.

It is odd how a 10/10 can be soloed yet that 8/10 cannot...

Thats why you put a LSE. People say don't mix passive and active, but trust me, that LSE will work wonders.
