Going blind???? Where is the technical forum?

Hey,

Really sorry to post this in general, but I have a technical issue.

I have recently re-installed windows after a HD wipe. My EvE file is on another HD, so it was safe, but I can't seem to get into the game now.

The Launcher works and says its ready, but when I click play... nothing happens. In task manager, an EvE file is active, but no game loads.

CAn someone either offer me some advice on how to fix this or point (link prefereably) me to the techy forums.

Though, I thought I had the most uptodate with DX10....... but will check it out.

I just checked. I have DX10 and that link says it provides updates to 9.0c and earlier.

You have a DirectX 10 card.. but you need the DirectX9 software to use it.

It's confusing, I know, but it's true.. just install it.

I bet....

When I first checked task manager, I had 12 instances of it running............ was wondering why my computer was getting a little sluggish after a new install :)

...and I've been playing like that + with excel for years and thinking that it was the actual game.
